@weiske_a In theory that makes sense but personally I’ve never seen a sunburnt sheep. In hot weather they will tend to seek out shade

Watching The Sheep Detectives today made me think of Mel. The lead sheep Lily reminded me of all the Mel stories I've heard over the years.

Shearing today we decided to do our big girls, so after Big Mel we did Daisy. Fleece not quite as big as Mel but still a big girl underneath all the wool! She’s Suffolk/Loaghtan cross but the only hint of Loaghtan is brown back of her head & on her tail. #shearing #isleofman

@booberry73 Oh we do snuggle him but the razor sharp teeth biting everything are a little painful! He’s still a baby so a little while before he starts being trained seriously although will start walking through the sheep soon

@Wattybird Ahhhh my original Magnus, he was a really special ram, a gentle giant who lived to the old age (for a ram) of 12. I still miss him. This Magnus is modeled on one of his grandsons

4th - 10th May was National Hedgerow week. Our hedgerows are made up of hawthorn, blackthorn, gorse, holly, dog rose, honeysuckle & more. Masses of wild flowers underneath, masses of birds, insects, rabbits, hedgehogs. They are just buzzing with life #naturefriendlyfarming #IOM
