A sending off for that, in a game of this magnitude is criminal. A referee dealing a death knell for Madrid’s UCL hopes. Camavinga was silly, but no chance that deserves a second caution. And that should never decide a tie that was that good.

With tailgating outside American parking-lot heavy stadiums limited, the downtown stadiums — both of Canada’s included — could be the best vibes of the World Cup. Still all of the downtown bars for free viewing, pre/post-match + Canada Soccer Houses in Downtown Toronto.

Toronto FIFA FanZone will charge between $10-$300, becoming the latest one to switch from free - Many U.S. cities have cancelled altogether. Vancouver has some free, some at $65 and some at $103. Canada Soccer Houses in both cities remain free. ctvnews.ca/toronto/articl…

@LWaler Running the TDSB like a corporation ignores the fact that our "ROI" is a well-rounded generation of kids—not a quarterly dividend. Education needs leadership that understands pedagogy and student needs, not just a balance sheet. Our schools are public goods, not franchises.

The budget of the TDSB is larger than the budget of PEI. About $3.5 Billion. Shouldn't the person running the business side of the School Board have the background to administer such a massive budget? And allow the Chief Education Officer to focus on the learning outcomes? Even smaller boards have budgets of many tens of millions. This isn't a job for an educator. It's a job for a financial administrator. One isn't less than the other --they're just different skills. How is this controversial? It should be welcome and celebrated.

The Carney Liberals did not win a majority government through a general election or today's by-elections. Instead, it was won through backroom deals with politicians who betrayed the people who voted for them. While the Prime Minister spent the year on this cynical power grab, he has doubled the deficit, and given Canada the worst grocery prices and housing costs in the G7. Liberals expect Canadians to give up, get complacent and go away, so Carney can have total power without any accountability. That will not happen. Our country and its people are worth fighting for. We will continue to fight for people to afford homes, food and fuel. We will continue to fight for safety in our streets. We will continue to fight for our resource workers and soldiers. I will continue to lead that fight every day and in every way in Parliament, across the country and in the next election, when Canadians will reclaim the country we know and love.
