I'm not convinced this is remotely true. Leaving your home country and making a life in another is a huge deal, and Canada and Australia are incredibly far away.

I asked the Government to ban halal slaughter - sadly, they refused. Causing animals unnecessary pain and severe suffering is pure cruelty, and not the British way. We should slaughter our animals in a method that is as humane as possible. Halal slaughter should be banned.

@stphnmaher I watched the clip as a not particularly aligned PR.... Barton's q wasn't that bad and Carney's answer not that damaging. A lot of pent up feeling that an election will vent!

No, Barton's exact words were "it is very difficult to believe" that there is "no possible conflict of interest in [Carney's] assets." Carney has since admitted there are, in fact, possible conflicts of interest in his assets that will need to be screened by the Ethics Commissioner.
