We have now had the @CPC_HQ try out Carbon Tac Carney, slide over to Radical Marx Carney, pivot to Elitist Globalist Carney, move on to Just Like Justin Carney, try out Sneaky Carney, and discover Blind Trust Disclosure Carney. Maybe stop making up names and propose policy?

Federal Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre responds to Pres Trump comments last night that he’d rather have a Liberal in office. “On that point, it’s true. I’m a strong leader, I’m a tough guy to deal with. I’m firm in my convinctions and I’ll always put Canada first.” #cdnpoli

It’s also silly, because kosher slaughter is functionally identical, yet very few of the boomers who support a ban on halal slaughter would support one on kosher slaughter — because they like Jews, but not Muslims

@stphnmaher I watched the clip as a not particularly aligned PR.... Barton's q wasn't that bad and Carney's answer not that damaging. A lot of pent up feeling that an election will vent!

Nice to know that the good people at Top Grass still think the Church of England is as it was of yore.

@EdwardShawcross Your post leads me to fear that you are not only near the end of your bio, but that Napoleon III is ALREADY DEAD.

How does Bonapartism end? On 1 June 1879 in South Africa, the self-titled Napoléon IV is killed in British army uniform fighting in the Anglo-Zulu War. I bet the first Napoléon didn't see that one coming, or Queen Victoria paying for this memorial.

I see some people mourning the death of the Bay. That’s fine. I’m sad for its workers. But the right should respect the will of the free market, the power of capital, and the force of creative destruction. This is capitalism at work, after all.

Europe's last Latinate kingdom was laid to rest in 1844, in a world of railways, steam engines, and revolutionary new ideas, things not usually associated with the long-dead Roman tongue. Me for @EngelsbergIdeas on the strange fate of the Regnum Marianum. engelsbergideas.com/essays/europes…
