Of course theres now an over-correction within the weirder parts of the gaming community and people are saying that doing digital first indie games is an anti-physical stance. Most indie devs DREAM of having their games in physical but getting a game on physical is expensive and time consuming. Most indie devs do not have 10s of thousands of USD lying around for physical copies and even if they did, they have no network to distribute them. Theres a reason why so many physical publishers exist, because that is a whole ecosystem and skill set outside of the digital release process. Digital gaming has democratization development in an incredible way and most of the industry would not exist under PS2 conditions. Physical is important and it is aspirational for most devs but expecting physical for every game is not based in reality.

We already have a combined ~260k CCV from the Twitch creators currently onboarded to our super-giga-pre-alpha, with a lot more on our waitlist. That number doesn't include any stats from other streaming sites, either. Seeing that, you can imagine why sponsors could get overwhelmed, and why I want to help them too. Services like this are really hard to build because they need so much simultaneous validation on all sides, but I'm lucky enough to have so many companies and individuals willing to give it a shot so early on.
