Mike Mahoney (@MMPennAC), University of Pennsylvania (@Penn / @pennathletics) Director of Athletic Communications, will receive the CSC Arch Ward Award this June at #CSCUnite26! The Arch Ward Award is presented to a current CSC member who has made outstanding contributions to the field of college athletics communications, and who by his or her activities, has brought dignity and prestige to the profession. “When I got the call that I was receiving the Arch Ward Award, I immediately went to the list of honorees and I was blown away. So many of the people on the list I consider legends in our profession, and while I have become friends with many of them, I still have moments where I think 'that person KNOWS me!' It's so cool. I want to thank former Arch Ward recipient Larry Dougherty for nominating me for this honor. It was so humbling when he told me he thought I was a great candidate for it. I've been blessed to work at three incredible institutions in two of the best leagues in the country, and in both cases it's the people who make them great.
