My respect for Speaker Mike Johnson just increased dramatically. He is saying NO to the Senate version of DHS funding. They are sending it back to the Senate and demanding full funding.

🚨 HOLY SMOKES!! Speaker Johnson just told the Senate to SCREW OFF, he's NOT passing their DHS funding deal that leaves out ICE "This GAMBIT that was done last night is a JOKE! It CAN'T be that every Senate Republican read the language of this bill!" 🔥🔥🔥 Johnson then READS where the bill says ICE won't get funded "WE'RE NOT DOING THAT and it is unconscionable to me that the Democrats would force some sort of negotiation at 3 o'clock in the morning and try to hoist this upon the American people and then get on their JETS and GO HOME for their holiday and pretend and think that we're going to go along with that!" Looks like Leader John Thune is on his way out of town with his private escort, as the SAVE America Act gets left behind. This is very disappointing. I am willing to stay in Washington as long as it takes to get the job done.
This is how the GOP Senate blocks Trump from recess appointments. 2 minute pro forma sessions every few days during their vacation. Only POTUS in history that has had recess appointments blocked by his own party. Think about that. Traitors. Sickening.
