So as I said at the time they’d have played the last 10 minutes + injury time of that game with 10 men & been missing one of their most important players for their next 3 games of the run in. But “oh well never mind” a shrug and a sorry from the PGMOL. 🙄

In the 82nd minute, with the league leaders chasing the game, the defender was pushed by Erling Haaland and the pair had a head-to-head altercation. As they parted, Gabriel appeared to push the striker with his head. Referee Anthony Taylor gave each player a yellow card following the incident, and video assistant referee (VAR) John Brooks did not intervene. The Premier League’s KMI panel is an independent body introduced in the 2022-23 season that reviews critical match incidents in the referee’s jurisdiction. With Chelsea getting to the final. You’d imagine our fixture there gets moved to 20th / 21st May. Confirmation of relegation on the one year anniversary of the Europa league win probably is the most fitting final chapter of this season that feels like it was scripted by satan.
