@ObeezyLive Discoverability is my biggest thing. I don’t think I’ve seen someone new in my chat in years which is my fault, probably, but I don’t think my channel even shows up to possible viewers.

The only reason Twitch came out with Enhanced Broadcasting is to save money on the infrastructure needed to transcode all these streams at various resolutions. If they want more people to use it then they should give streamers using this feature a portion of the money they are saving. All while platforms like youtube transcode every piece of content and don’t impose time limits on how long they store your streams. So I’ll be holding off on the enhanced broadcasting dual format streaming until they either: • pay us • give us better discoverability AND before you jump in my mentions saying, “but the vertical stream format provides a better viewing experience!” Does it? I believe many people are confusing convenience with preference. On youtube and TikTok you discover vertical streams while you’re already swiping through your for you/shorts feed. Twitch has no such mechanism. When viewers watch streams on twitch they are often clicking on specific channel to watch. And given the choice do you think they prefer a full screen experience or a cropped down vertical format?

Detroit has a solid core of younger players already. Perhaps they could use some more serviceable veterans to fill some holes on their roster. I’m not sure. But in this Detroit gets two younger assets to bolster their pool plus two proven NHL commodities with term and control. There are obviously additional moving parts with Hartman’s 15-team NTC and then Minnesota needling to retroactively fill Brodin’s role on the 2nd pairing. Moving out those contracts also allows the Wild to more comfortably fit Larkin’s money in along with extending McCarron and filling out the remainder of the roster. Again no idea if this sort of deal is more or less attractive to Detroit, but thought it could be interesting to explore a trade that doesn’t involve strictly prospects/futures
