I was supposed to take the Aether test for this Outlier account yesterday, only for me to get a really sad news that destabilised me yesterday and I ended up missing the call from my friend helping me to open the account in the UK
It became a double heartbreak for me yesterday night

I have lost so much on futures trading this week but the good news is that my Outlier account is taking shape and I'll be writing the Aether Assessment test tonight, hopefully All things being equal, I should be able to start work by next week and start earning. Last month, I closed
- a 1.6m lms project
- a 500k figma to Wordpress gig
- a 250k web design gig
I turned down. 150k deposit on a 500k gig (I insisted on 50% deposit at least)
That’s over 2m in pure profit in one month.
And I promise you I’m at the bottom of the food chain, I don’t even put in 20% of the efforts I should.
I haven’t started using fiverr or upwork yet.

Lmfao people don’t realize how crazy 9-5 is this was my last salary in Naija before I see this 300k gan I know how many hours I’ve done and this was after being there for 3 years +, having a masters, chartered banker and promoted once.
I know entry level staff wey dey earn 75-90k highest and you’ll be on that salary at least 4 years before any review but once you wear your shirt and tie commot house everyone believes you’re doing good.

Better wake up from your bubble. I was a fresh graduate of geophysics , with 4.47 cgpa. Dem offer me 70k as salary. Increased it to 90k the following year. Say no structured company will offer you 95k as a salary . Inside this same Lagos 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Don’t even trigger me, my friend was doing 70k too, in a “structured” company. She literally cried every night, I’m glad she works remotely now, earning better You talk about graduate trainee programs, 🤣you apply and enter now. 130k applicants, 500 selected.

lol you think it’s all about money. I’m talking about freedom here. Even if you have skills, when do you ever get to take risks, use it.
You’re working 9-5, 30 days of a month, at least 300 days a year for a firm, where’s the time to yourself, all while receiving peanuts.
How will that skill even take you out of the trenches when you’re not even spending time on it, improving or even using it.

By the time you finish your salary on transport/feeding in 2 weeks, and then you’ start collecting salary advance, so now you’re working and owing the company.
You’ll sit your ass at home, and thug it out, learning skills to improve your life.

i experienced it firsthand during my SIWES, most of them are living off debt
so once the salary enters, most of it goes back into paying off the debt

Bin ich der einzige, der kein Bock auf einen Leben hat, wo man frühs aufsteht, 8h arbeitet, erschöpft zurück kommt und nur etwas auf Netflix schauen will.
Am Wochenende mal ausschlafen und 2x im Jahr (wenn man Glück hat) so richtig in den Urlaub fährt.
Auswärts essen gehen wird zu einem Event, weil es mittlerweile für ein Familie einfach sehr teuer ist.
