@JacksonRipp @cdrmpls @ZekeBoyat They need leaders who know how to show up when it matters most. That’s no one on the current roster. Guerin may be cleaning house, but his loyalty to vets, guys he knows & familiar (but different) names are repeating mistakes of prev regime.

@cdrmpls @ZekeBoyat Or do they need some leaders that are doing whatever it takes to win? They are losing Dumba and Reavo who had huge impact behind the scenes. Foligno is a huge team first voice beyond what he brings on the ice

@NickNelsonMN This team is bad bc this entire regime hasn’t developed prospects, made bad trades, showed loyalty to players who don’t deserve it AND have two struggling stars.

The Twins have been bad because their two centerpiece star players have been bad. It really is that simple in essence. I don't blame the FO for signing Correa & Buxton, they were the right moves. I don't blame Baldelli for the struggles of vets making $50M. How can you?

@JMaschino_56 It’s more than hitting or pitching coach. It starts with the front office’s inability to draft & develop resulting in having to make awful trades. Then it’s on a manager with loyalty to flailing players with no ability to adapt. Then it’s asst coaches. This REGIME needs to end.

@JMaschino_56 How’s a young player supposed to get better if they’re not getting game reps doing what they’re not as good at? It’d be one thing if it was Kepler, Gallo, etc. These guys are supposed to be future everyday guys and they’re being limited in their ability to get better.

@AaronGleeman I’m glad I enjoy the outdoors. No time to watch much. Being .500 in a competitive division battling for supremacy would be fun, except the central is a clown show & the Twins are a joyless brand of baseball exemplified by the owner/GM/manager and players. Extend streak 18➡️21 🏆

#MNTwins hitting by month: April — .237 AVG, .723 OPS, 26% SO May — .230 AVG, .718 OPS, 28% SO June — .224 AVG, .684 OPS, 29% SO Batting average, OPS, and strikeout rate are all trending in the wrong direction. Turns out, their "slow start" offensively was their good month.

@DanHayesMLB The worst part about this team & the current regime is that it’s joyless. They’re vanilla, lack any exciting personalities & have a robotic management philosophy. The offense is anemic. Just spinning their proverbial boring wheels.

@atrupar @MNTwinsZealot The roster isn’t that great, but it’s probably a few wins better than what it currently stands at tho with better manager. Either the front office is dictating Rocco or he’s part of a two-headed beast of mismanagement. Either way, this regime is just so dang “meh.”

@MNTwinsZealot Pagan and Kepler are shaping up to be the two biggest reasons this front office and coaching stuff will lose their jobs (let’s hope) after this season. The stubborn insistence that these guys are anything but terrible when everybody can see them for what it is is just ridiculous

This team drives me crazy…a few little things done poorly doom them 3 -4 games each week and then Pagan today with the sledgehammer to the groin. Not exactly sure why I keep expecting a different result. This is what .500 teams do.

@MatthewTaylorMN Take Rocco & the front office with him. Only reason twins aren’t 10 games out of 1st place is bc they are in one of the worst divisions across all major sports.

This is why the “Emilio Pagán hasn’t given up a run in ____ innings” arguments are stupid. The dude will always blow games with a single awful pitch at the worst time. There’s 4 years of proof of this. Get him off the #MNTwins

@AlexMicheletti I’ll continue to get hammered by the diehard apologists, but this regime & coaching staff has done nothing to suggest they know how to adapt, make adjustments, cut ties or build a contender. Trades for multiple inj pitchers & stubbornness with Kepler/Pagan is ridiculous.

@WIguyinMN @DrMoneyTrees GB fans will never let that one go I’m guessing. I joked about Rodgers following the same path. 2 steps down there already. But this time, I want nothing to do with a former GB HoF’er.

@BillErchul @jzulgad This would be true if there were a salary cap. But, there isn’t and it’s not a huge contract anyways. It will only hinder their payroll if they choose to let it do so. But, I do agree with you in the sense that this front office seems completely incapable of diagnosing injuries.

Byron Buxton out of Twins' lineup today and Rocco Baldelli tells @CoryProvus that you can see the knee is causing issues. In 17 games since May 7, Buxton is slashing .188/.297/.313 with two home runs and four RBIs. He has eight walks and 18 strikeouts.

@jzulgad Remember a short while ago when all the beat writers were telling us the 100 loss seasons would be worth it as soon as Sano & Buxton saved the franchise? Woof. Not Buxton’s fault, but not having a serious emergency plan for him is another blunder by this blah front office.

Considering keeping Buxton healthy with him just serving as DH is an issue, I'd be very surprised to see him play any outfield this season.

@zaclewis24 @NickNelsonMN I have actually done that. I’m happy for the eternal optimists and I’m completely content on being a bandwagon fan moving forward. Weather is too perfect to watch sports on TV rn anyways. I wish the diehards the best & applaud your resilience. I just can’t slog through 162 gms.

@MNrube @NickNelsonMN Cool, maybe you should just step away from watching baseball if the team can never reach your expectations and makes you upset. One team wins the World Series each year. I could make a very, very long list of teams that haven’t won the World Series since the Twins have.

@NickNelsonMN @zaclewis24 I remain unsatisfied with the team as a whole & their continued mediocrity. Cool, they finally have a decent rotation. The offense is awful & they’ve still won 0 playoff games in 20 years. They’re slowly bleeding the worst division in baseball. They haven’t earned anything yet.

@AlexMicheletti @jzulgad @sethtoups @LockedOnWild If he hasn’t by now, he never will. He’s had the same track record at every level. He’s built his playing & coaching career on grinding and stubbornness, and expecting him to do anything diff is foolish. He clearly didn’t take a single thing away from the St Louis embarrassment.

@zaclewis24 @NickNelsonMN I don’t disagree with you. They needed pitching at the time and he was considered good. Yes, they lucked out in this case. But Paddack, Mahle & every other busted pitcher they’ve whiffed on? Can’t not take future swings bc you dodged one bullet.

@zaclewis24 @NickNelsonMN They also traded for a ton of busted pitchers with known arm issues, so this front office (which was brought here to create a pitching ‘pipeline’) doesn’t get any passes. If they weren’t in an embarrassing division, they’d be fired already. We deserve better than mediocre ball.

@coryc711 @AaronGleeman Agreed. But, Cleveland & Chicago fans probably feel the same way. The truth is probably that all 5 teams are just flat out bad. 82 wins probably wins the division. Look forward to the Twins’ postseason losing streak hitting 21 this year.

@AaronGleeman Feels like another year where the twins could have had the division wrapped up in June but let teams hang around to eventually overtake them late in the season. Both season almost exclusively due to bullpen.
