@weemish_tnaab @VGBC_GimR If we divide it by countries I expect the US to have one of the highest red counts with how individuallistic they are. I'm from latin america and i'm pretty confident most countries would majorly be blue. I think Asia would be mixed and Africa and Europe prob blue?

@MNvow @VGBC_GimR Most blues seem to assume that only western cultures are voting in this poll. The majority of voters come from low trust societies who are going to vote red. It’s a huge blind spot. Asia, Africa, and South America make this a large red majority vote.

Blues: come on guys, if we just get over 50% we can save everyone! Reds: if you press blue, you’re just killing yourself. No one has made a single coherent argument as to why I should press it. If everyone just pressed it no one is in danger. And you know what!? Blues are actually the immoral ones because- Blues: what about children? Many of them will select a button at random. Reds:

Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a red or blue button. If more than 50% of people press the blue button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the blue button, only people who pressed the red button survive. Which button would you press? BE HONEST.

@VGBC_GimR Yeah the more I think about it, it becomes less rational. A lot of Reds seem to operate on the idea that blue is a guaranteed loss which is just not true, and another large group is desperate to convince people that red is correct, which they could also do for blue

I think it’s way more rational to say that if 50% of people select X then everyone survives vs. if 100% of people select Y everyone survives. One is realistically achievable while the other is impossible. The real question is, would 50% of people select the correct answer if their life was actually on the line?

Blue = suicide button that FORCES HALF OF THE POPULATION TO RISK IT ALL TO SAVE YOUR DUMB ASS. Red = nobody plays the game Blue is selfish at its core. If you care about people, you would tell them to press red for themselves instead of joining the mass suicide.
𝓼𝓱𝓪𝓾𝓵𝓪𝓶𝓸𝓭𝓮𝓻@shaulamoder

all the worst people in the universe deliberately miswording the question and choosing red in the replies/quote tweets unless you value your own life more than that of billions of people as well as many of those you love, blue is the obvious answer

I have thought a lot about the red button-blue button question, and I would still push the blue button because I’d rather be dead than live alongside *only* the people I’ve seen argue for pushing red.

@therealchi18322 @VGBC_GimR The chance is not "overwhelmingly high" and the result of child red, parent blue is not worse than having parent red, child blue. having my child live regardless of their choice is a win, preferable over saving myself and potentially having my children die

@MNvow @VGBC_GimR But you also understand that there is an overwhelmingly high chance blue does not win. In that case you die and leave your red button child unsupported.

@therealchi18322 @VGBC_GimR Everyone's choice is confidential. As a parent you always choose blue under the idea that your child might also have, to maximize their survival chance. Your scenario only works because it's clearly skewed beyond the established rules

@VGBC_GimR What would you do if you were a parent? You press blue and you potentially help save some of your children but have a high chance of dying. Do you press red to guarantee your children who also press red don’t lose their provider?

@spoopyGayfrog @VGBC_GimR "no but you don't get you are putting yourself in danger, i'm so intelligent and individuallistic to see the correct answer, if only everyone was like me the world would be a better place, people who voted blue likely deserved that fate anyways!"

You survive either way if you press red, while you may not if you press blue. Everyone should rationally press red and everyone should survive. The way the question is presented makes people feel like blue is the moral choice while red is greedy, but everyone should obviously press red and have everyone survive. No reason to press blue
