2025-26 MODE Prep National Prep Team roster

A few pics from our last game at the GrindSession National Tournament in Bowling Green, KY.

Only 1 teams season ends with a win.  Ours ended abruptly last night with a heartbreaking 81-80 loss.  We led for most of the game, but they got hot at the right time, and their full-court pressure was the difference.   I’m so incredibly proud of what this team accomplished and overcame this season.  Prep basketball is the ultimate coaching challenge.  Taking a collection of players from different playing styles, backgrounds, cultures, and sometimes speaking different languages.  Getting them to become a team in such a short period of time is no easy feat.   Those obstacles plus trying to figure out all the housing, feeding, scheduling, resourcing, budgetary and transporting logistics of a first year program was an immense effort.  Coaching and directing prep basketball is a full-time job.   Through all of that, we stuck together, stayed focused, and were truly playing our best team basketball at the end.   Some kids will be coming back.  Others are graduating or moving on.  New players will arrive soon for next season.   Each of these families & players took a chance on a startup program.  For that we are forever grateful.     Cherish these moments.  The experiences we shared and the bonds we built, and know you were part of building something special.     Go MODE! Mode Prep came into our gym Saturday night ready. Physical. Confident. Organized. And that’s exactly why we scheduled it. Our **Watts Prospect** guys don’t grow from easy reps. They grow from pressure. From pace. From playing against programs that expose what still needs work. That’s how you build real college prospects. Not hype. Not rankings. Big time respect to @MODE_Basketball for making the trip over from Spokane and competing the right way. Iron sharpens iron. When you bring in another serious group, it forces everyone to look in the mirror. Not just at the scoreboard… but at their habits, communication, toughness, and execution. 82–85.
