CNG was big 1998 - 2015, Honda made cng civics in Indiana, GM built bi-fuel Impala, Ford, GM and Ram had bi-fuel trucks, then they all moved on to hydrogen, electric... meantime public CNG pumps were being installed, now over 1700 nationwide. We should be running half our vehicles on CNG, virtually nothing out the tailpipe - PZEV practically zero emission vehicles.

I really like the new hybrids, they figured out how to get 52/52 mpg. Since I'm invested with CNG home fueling at 80 Cents@gal, I would prefer CNG powered OR CNG/gas hybrid. If I ever leave CNG I will buy a modern hybrid. CNG mpg in my civic is 35/45, gasoline version is 28/36. When I arrive at Leech Lake each May for fishing, mileage meter says average is 51 mpg.
