Ravi Mohan a.k.a Jayam Ravi has been a victim of domestic abuse. We can very well see that. He’s not even acting and anyone who understands psychology can see it glaring out there. He’s almost risking to compromise his decades of career by openly being vulnerable in front of all media, naming names of powerful people in his industry.
Not easy to be a man in a marriage dominated by women. Yes, not woman but ‘women’. Includes his in laws and her coterie. They’re really very influential in the industry with their inner circle being vast and overreaching. Everyone knows it.
Not taking sides without actually knowing what happened between them, but this guy has always been a sweetheart in the industry and never came off as rude or vile. Putting this here only to acknowledge that a man can also be a victim of domestic abuse - specifically emotionally. And a tall grown man being this vulnerable on camera after decades of machismo career is quite disturbing. This reflects the amount of mental pressure he was under all these years.
May he find peace. May his wife (to be ex) find peace. May his children and his parents find peace.
I wish he comes back stronger and gives us wonderful films, both commercial and experimental!
God be with you, @iam_RaviMohan.
