@MaybellRomero @scholasticahq @ScholarSift Sadly the law review editors are often in the dark on the costs. Scholastica really hides it on the editor side of their website. Students I’ve talked to are shocked when they find out it’s $6.60 a pop.

A few thoughts:
1. I don't see why AALS couldn't step in a provide a free service for law profs so we can quit using @scholasticahq.
2. In the absence of leadership from AALS I know @ScholarSift was trying to work on these problems.

Legal scholarship shouldn't be pay-to-play. But from advising several practitioners I have learned that scholastica costs ($6.60 per submission) can be prohibitive. Existing fee waiver is narrow. Thinking about trying to find ways to help. Would love engagement on five questions:
