Most of my colleagues don't meet with students over summer and few answer their emails. I'm curious how common this is, so a twitter survey!

@gginajack @ItsSempleAsThat I was wondering why the major publications were saying “maybe avoid raw veggies for a week” like how does anyone know we’ll be in a better place with this in a week?

What’s scary about the cyclospora outbreak is that the cdc isn’t tracing, so the manufacturer/supplier is likely still unknowingly producing cyclospora infected products. No recalls in sight, no solution in sight. Just explosive diarrhea

@lexlanham Drinking harmonic frequencies. This should just be allowable if people will actually believe this.

@melnickjeffrey1 jeff this will sound unbearably cheesy but I think about it all the time: “sometimes love just ain’t enough” was the revelation that changed my life

I threatened recently to revive the music prompts I use to post—mostly as a trick to get people to self-report gossip. So here goes: can you remember a time when something happened connected to music that made you reevaluate your feelings about a lover or friend or relative?

I feel like a lot of baby feeding discourse really involves whether you, personally, can sleep through your baby waking up during the night. I couldn't sleep even when my husband would do an overnight bottle feed. I'd just lay there awake.

@juIiaIovesharry @yearnerholic111 I call ahead if I’m running behind but it’s never more than 5 mins. People act really surprised that I call just to let them know bc I guess no one else does that anymore?? I have to be on time or I’ll explode

@pebonilla legitimately thought “want to lose up to 15 lbs” was the lead-in to the longer story on the customers you describe here

Have fun sorting all the Taco Bell customers who got explosive diarrhea because of a parasitic infection in the ingredients from the general population of customers who got explosive diarrhea from just eating Taco Bell on the regular

Is being bald a dealbreaker for girls nowadays? I have a buddy who is 31, single, and bald. Our friend says he needs to go get implants to better his dating chances. I don’t think it matters. What does everyone on here think?

Who are you monsters who aren’t reading to your young kids every day? This is seriously one of the best things people can do for their kids (& themselves!) (I will put a gift link to this excellent but depressing article by @rosehorowitch in the next tweet)

uspto says "if you have an NIL deal or you’re using your NIL in connection with goods or services, you likely already have a common law trademark." not sure i agree that everyone who monetizes their NIL is already using their name or image as a mark. thoughts?

@cat_i_e oh, I got this one! being late is stressful to me and the fear of possibly being late is also itself stressful. so if I leave extra early then I can feel super calm before, while on the way, & after I have arrived and succeeded in being not late. (also I always bring a book)

Is it a deep personality flaw that I cannot for the life of me understand why anyone would show up early for basically anything ever? What is the utility of sitting around and waiting for minutes at a time? 😅
