There’s an alarming situation going on in Osun state. Yesterday, the Osun Police Command claimed to be launching a new tactical operation unit with the direction of the Inspector General of @PoliceNG, @TunjiDisu1. But surprisingly, this launching only happened in Osun state. More alarmingly, the launching was attended by ONLY OSUN APC leaders while donation of operational vehicles was received from the illegal court-sacked APC Yes/No Chairmen. The Osun State Police Command is definitely up to something and it is in the best interest of fairness and public accountability if this issue can be addressed. The Osun State government through the commissioner for Information, Hon. Kolapo Alimi recently raised a SOS about police killer squad and this happening days later raises serious concerns about the neutrality of the security forces in Osun State. The @PoliceNG and the IG @TunjiDisu1 must ensure to maintain neutrality in political schemings without fear or favor. Any deviation from this is an open invitation to state of lawlessness which should never be encouraged or promoted. We all have a duty to protect the peace being experienced across the state.
