Napoleon was the one who modernized France's administrative centralisation, the Code Pénal of Napoleon is still used to this day. Like I am not a monarchist at all, but tbh Napoleon did a lot.

@TemplierPlzier @Dadu_ronron @Arrogance_0024 Well it was actually because of the Habsburgs the Netherlands fought for independence, the Bourbons came after. (Which originated from France, Louis XIV was a Bourbon). The French Revolution was centralist but not like the monarchy, it actually failed to centralize.

In fact the flemish voted a pro dutch prime minister who declared willing to die as "Southern Dutchman" so I mean.... the reason for the split was because of France and Napoleon, the Monarchy and persecution against christians. En fonction des espèces, il n'y a pas d'alternative. Pour les tigres, même si le mieux reste qu'ils vivent dans la nature, il y a des zoos qui offrent des conditions de vie correctes. Pour les cétacés, là, pas d'alternative, ils n'ont rien à faire dans un bassin. Et pour les cirques avec animaux sauvages, il faut qu'ils se transforment pour proposer des spectacles sans animaux ou avec animaux domestiques.
