I ask for prayers. I have been under some oppression of the enemy. The evil one can do a lot to turn people against us, foment division and bring turmoil. Then my secretary quit and 2 cooks resigned and an aide quit. The Sister assigned to take over got sick requiring rest. I began to worry how we can manage. The fire was an added worry, but I'm just so so grateful the Sisters got out alive, I don't care about the damages. Tonight, what overtakes me is the Te Deum. I was found worthy to share some heavy crosses. Sursum corda, Mary Joseph. God is on the move.

If you are a Catholic this should offend you. President Trump attacking the Catholic Church is completely unwarranted and extremely distasteful. He should be well aware that Catholics account for at least half of the MAGA base. Catholics, like myself, got him elected and many staff his administration. Messaging like this is only going to hurt GOP turnout in the midterms.

Lord, cover with your protection our Holy Father, the Pope; be his light, his strength, his consolation. Amen.

Cradle Catholic here. It's a conundrum. The guilt is real and doubled if you're Italian and Catholic. It's taken a long time to face the fact that walking away might be the best course of action. God doesn't live in church. He lives in you. The church is the outer wrapping. God is the gift. Your gift isn't diminished if you leave the wrapping behind.

How can a Catholic Catholic if they disagree with literally everything the Pope says? I mean this sincerely. How do we reconcile this? I would not belong to a Protestant church promoting or professing these radical beliefs? What do we as Catholics do? Sincere question.

@JackPosobiec The Pope has a moral and religious duty to speak his mind and guide Catholics on contemporary issues affecting their lives. Trump represents 350 million Americans as the President of the US, while the Pope represents 2.5 billion Catholics. I stand with the Pope; he speaks for me.
