Well it's been a long journey 24 years but that day has come today when I stepped away from being SSgt Soper to Mr Soper as I retire from the Army. I've met some some amazing people over the years and served my country as best I could. I look forward to my new journey.. Red on!!

@Viking_Dave85 Interesting question. Our FST Commanders experienced fog or mist tonight on the range with quite the challenge to adjust artillery and locate targets utilising artillery illumination. Optics struggled and the shell was too bright. How could we fix it?

Today's deep & meaningful question from the troops on the ranges. Is there a difference between mist and fog? 🤷‍♂️ Twitter, go.

@bea_rmc I think you are mixing 148 Bty with 4/73 Bty. Both are ‘Special Observer’ trades in the Royal Artillery but 148 is part of 3CdoX and specialises in Naval Gunfire and Advance Force Reconnaissance. Falklands Commando is a great book!
