It’s our understanding that Jackie and others in her circle watch MFW’s posts closely, and if so it’s not at all surprising her new willingness to insist that her own workplace safety should be paramount might have come as a direct result of MFW pushing this issue heavily. We also know many other prominent women have expressed serious alarm to Jackie about her abuse at Kyle’s hands (because some of them have also spoken to us about it as part of something of a feminist revolt on this whole matter) and that for the same reason there are even staff at ARN who have had enough of Kyle’s on-air cruelty towards women. If so, we’re really pleased to have been a huge part of the information flow about Kyle’s misogyny which has led to her taking a stand. It’s also very important to understand that a person who’s an enabler of an abusive arsehole may also be subject to that same abuse. It happens all the time, everywhere. And it may indeed be happening between these two on radio. Certainly, the threats Kyle makes against anyone in his life who doesn’t please him (and we have MANY MORE examples of similar threats from him to post on this coming week) indicate a pattern of behaviour that’s both disgraceful and alarming. On Friday, we fully expected ARN Media to contact MFW to ask how they can help us since learning their own on-air presenter has caused so much damage to us. There’s now a direct channel of communication between management at ARN and ourselves, and we believed the LEAST they’d do would be to ask if we were okay. But nope. For this reason, we have few conclusions except to believe they don’t care much about Kyle’s treatment of women. Any women. We know what it’s like to feel deeply unsafe because of Kyle, and to be completely unsupported by those who continue to enable and excuse him, so we do have empathy for Jackie in this situation. We understand some witches don’t feel this way, but we’re a broad church here and honestly: unless you’ve personally been on the receiving end of Kyle’s hate, bullying and abuse, it’s difficult to know just how horrific it feels. We also feel concerned for Kyle’s female staff going forward, as so much of our reporting on #VileKyle has been about his unconscionable attacks on the women in his office. We’ve never believed any appear to be safe in their own workplace, and have never held back in saying so. We’ll report more on this later today or tomorrow, witches. As it’s still completely ironic that the biggest reason we’re not more quickly across this news today is because several Admins are in hiding at the moment BECAUSE OF KYLE SANDILANDS’ OPEN THREATS TOWARDS US. Is it any fucking wonder Jackie has had enough? WE CERTAINLY KNOW THE REST OF US HAVE. Lastly, witches, the costs of us relocating our staff and keeping safe are astronomical. **HUGE NEWS, WITCHES** This could be the biggest news of our entire #VileKyle campaign, witches. And because a lot of this is due to the relentless collective work of we witches, we’re oh so proud to bring it to you today. First (and as we kept saying last week) the feud between Kyle and Jackie has been revealed as DEFINITELY not a stunt for ratings. Because Jackie wasn’t on air again this morning, as Kyle revealed on the show: “Sandilands did apologise to Henderson, saying his wife had berated him for the way he treated his co-host, while also denying the bust-up was a publicity stunt. ‘I obviously upset her and maybe in hindsight I shouldn’t have said it on the air, but we say a lot of things on the air here’ Sandilands said. ‘It’s never meant to hurt her feelings and obviously it did, and I regret hurting her feelings. No one wants to hurt someone, especially someone you care for’.” heraldsun.com.au/entertainment/… This ridiculous and almost victim-blaming excuse for an apology was followed up an hour or two later by Peter Ford on radio, who said he believed Jackie has now made the matter into a workplace safety issue: “Any future for Kyle and Jackie O as a radio duo, I’m told there’s a very very long and very dark cloud hanging over the future …. Kyle did a very bad and public take-down of Jackie’s work ethic and it was completely inappropriate to do that on air and she will not be back on air this week and more than likely she won’t be back EVER. There was a conference call that took place on Friday between Jackie’s manager Gemma and radio executives, and there was a word used during that meeting … Gemma unused one word which has really set off red flags with the radio management - she talked about the fact that Jackie O feels UNSAFE in the workplace … Now any employer has to really go into panic mode and ask can we allow that person to come back if they’ve indicated they feel unsafe? 3aw.com.au/peter-fords-ex… The most alarming thing for witches is that these revelations of Jackie apparently feeling unsafe have come to light only a very short time after MFW posted about the direct, violent threats Kyle issued towards our Admins in recent months, and after we posted just yesterday on how Kyle has recently threatened his own staff with potentially violent harm. After spending 25+ years profiting from Kyle's toxic behaviour, it's a bit rich to suddenly have an issue with that behaviour because it's made things "unsafe" for you.
