5 drug short treatment regimens could produce high rates of sustained treatment success for rifampicin-resistant tuberculosis (RR-TB). However, the longevity of these regimens will depend upon the rate at which resistance develops to the main components of the treatment & if patients with RR-TB require re-treatment.
