Neguse: Where is this company headquartered? Noem: I don’t know. Neguse: I don’t know either. We can’t find it. We did find an address that’s registered to a political operative. This company that received 143 million dollars was incorporated 8 days before this contract went out. You want the American people to believe that this is all above board, that $143 million of taxpayer money just happened to go to this one company that doesn't have a headquarters, doesn't have a website, has never done work for the federal government before and is registered apparently or attached to a residence from a political operative, and of course one of the subcontractors of that contract, as you know, is a political firm that's tied to, to you back when you were governor of South Dakota?

STORM RECOVERY UPDATES: The City has posted Winter Storm Hernando Recovery FAQs at providenceri.gov/snowstorm/. Providence residents may pick up one overflow bag per household free of charge at Department of Public Works offices at 75 Chapman Street tomorrow, Friday, February 26th, between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. City Hall will remain closed, so we ask that residents only utilize the 75 Chapman Street site at this time. To assist residents who are unable to pick up an overflow trash bag, Council staff has picked up two cases of overflow bags from DPW for Councilors to distribute as needed. A citywide parking ban remains in effect. Stay tuned here, or sign up for 311 notifications, to learn when the parking ban is lifted. While the parking ban remains in place, cars parked on city streets may continue to be ticketed or towed.

US immigration officials picked up a blind Rohingya refugee last week in Buffalo, NY. Then, realizing they had no basis to deport him, they released him five miles from his home. He needed a walking stick and died trying to make his way back to his house: investigativepost.org/2026/02/25/bli…

REMINDER: Trash and recycling collection is suspended until next week. Please do not place trash bins on the street, as they can obstruct snow plows and slow neighborhood cleanup efforts.

STORM RECOVERY UPDATE PART 2: In case you missed it, trash collection is suspended for the rest of the week. Collection will resume Monday, March 2nd, on a regular schedule. Finally, some carbon monoxide safety tips: Whatever you do, NEVER run a generator or grill indoors. Remember to clear all exterior vents and flues of snow. Remove snow from around vehicle exhaust pipes before starting. And make sure your carbon dioxide monitors are working. Stay tuned to this and other official City of Providence channels for updates on the city's ongoing clean-up efforts.
