In Paris, I met with students from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po) and other French universities that are members of the Global Coalition of Ukrainian Studies, implemented with the support of the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska. We discussed many important issues, including the obstacles to returning Ukrainian children abducted by Russia, the impact of the situation in the Middle East on the war in Ukraine, our integration into the European Union, and the conditions necessary to end the war and achieve a dignified peace. I am grateful to the student community for this thoughtful conversation and for their interest in Ukraine. It is important that among European youth there is a genuine desire to study Ukraine and to build closer ties between our universities and our people. I am grateful to France for its support in this direction.

Russian Gas was never "cheap". Between 2010 and 2020 Russian gas was only advantegous under certain market conditions, after 2021 Russian gas was at the same level or more expensive than LNG from Qatar or the U.S. Plus there are high political and strategic costs.
