In 2019, Globe reporter Robert Fife broke the SNC-Lavalin scandal.
Trudeau’s PMO pressured then-Attorney General Jody Wilson-Raybould to step in and kill the criminal prosecution of a corrupt Quebec construction giant that had bribed officials in Libya.
She refused.
She got shuffled out of Justice. Then kicked out of caucus.
In this clip, Fife explains how he approached her, the sleepless nights, and the very real fear that if she came out and denied the story, he and his editor would’ve been fired.
Meanwhile, Justin Trudeau stood at a podium and called the allegations “false.”
Wilson-Raybould had integrity.
Fife had courage.
The Liberals had something to hide.
This wasn’t a misunderstanding.
This was a Prime Minister’s Office trying to strong-arm the top law officer of the Crown to protect a politically connected company.
And the same Liberal Party — now led by Mark Carney — still acts like the rules don’t apply to them.
Different leader.

🇫🇷 A French woman who was sexually assaulted by a Tunisian migrant could be sentenced to prison today for ‘incitement to racial hatred.’
During a TV discussion, she said that “the main danger for women in France is Black African and Arab immigrant men.”
She was initially given a six-month suspended prison sentence and a €3,000 fine, but she appealed the sentence, with the new verdict expected later today.
Her attacker is still at large.

Treaty Chiefs in Alberta just asked the RCMP to criminally investigate Premier Danielle Smith for treason.
Her crime? Calling a referendum.
A perfectly legal & democratic act under provincial jurisdiction.
Smith’s response was measured: “I’ve had my differences with the federal government, but I have never used language like that. This kind of overwrought language has no place in a democracy.”
She’s right.
You can disagree with the referendum.
You can campaign against it.
You can vote against it.
But you cannot criminalize it.
The Premier asked the chiefs to check themselves.
She’s 100% right.
This type of behaviour should not be accepted by the elected or unelected in Canada.

Bill C-9 & C-63: Vague “hate” definitions to police speech and thought.
Bill C-11: Control what you see and share online.
Bill C-34: Force you to upload government ID just to use social media.
Piece by piece. Bill by bill.
They told us it was about “safety,” “children,” and “modernizing laws.”
What they built is a digital cage — surveillance + infrastructure control + speech restrictions + pre-crime penalties.
And now Carney’s government is accelerating it, not reversing it.
