@justinmk Which ones are doing this? From what I’ve been seeing big tech is being more flexible with WFH.

@sorryihavejudo It would be awesome to have a Jarvis like Tony Stark…we could code any where! Like the kitchen or bathroom or other indoor places.

Stop freaking out about Github Co-Pilot. Its not going to take jobs away from humans. Even if they manage to ever make it work correctly, someone needs to marshal and fix all the third tier garbage code the AI generates.

@Suhail You’ll worry about a lot of stuff, but as long as the baby is eating and gaining wait. That’s all that matters early on. Also get a baby k’tan, I now normally will work with baby strapped on my chest in the wee hours of yhe night.

@the_real_stacie My mom has to deal with 3 adult men, when were all home for the holidays. It’s my favorite thing when she has to take 3 tries to get me name right while she’s talking to me.

@mattsclancy Closing off streets from cars, similar to what Brazil has done in their city. We reduce noise, add more foot traffic for business and it can be developed differently.

Remote work will be a lot more common after covid. What's interesting is no tech changed; we just learned it worked, coordinated everyone to do it at once, and were forced to invest in making it work. What else, if we were all forced to try for a year, would we keep?

@dabit3 I remember the transition from mid to senior SE and that happen when I stopped being afraid to ask for clarification, acronyms being one of them.

I remember my first real tech job and therefore my first time forming a strong opinion about acronyms. In my first day I left a meeting with no fucking clue what had just happened because I was too embarrassed to ask. There were dozens of acronyms I had never heard before.

@MacConwell If I’m a solo founder building the product, what would be a better usage of my time after initial product is done. 1. Find other founders to work with, then pitch? 2. Pitch VCs while looking for other founders to help me?

Ok Founders, let's do a Twitter AMA. Ask me a question you always wanted to ask a VC. The only ask is no pitches or asking for money in this one please

@telmo How do they poop in peace? Or in the post zombie world it’s either shit fast or die? Shit while walking? That’s messy. Shit from the top of a tree? Like a koala? Damn. This is important nobody makes plans for this in zombie apocalypse scenarios.

I think it’s time to make a life change. I’m no longer going to eat any pastries that have powdered sugar on top. Powdered sugar is the glitter of baking. Fuck you.

Having CI infrastructure doesn't absolve you from the basic personal responsibility of reasonable functional surety before pushing your code to upstream.

@dabit3 Also css and html have come a long way. Especially CSS, it’s become such a beast at doing a lot (grid) and easy to understand.

@TheN0rthC0le brew install jute is easier. Side note switched my PC to Ubuntu and it’s fantastic and just as easy to setup a coding environment.

@profgalloway any chance you could help explain @pipe and their business? I’ve gone through their website and can’t figure out what makes them different from VCs or even a bank loan?
