@HomeAffairsSA We were hired, trained, and managed within DHA systems. We even performed official civic duties (2023–2024). 👉 But now suddenly we are “not their employees”? Now we are being pushed to third parties (Phetogo/Faranani). @eNCA @SABCNews

@HomeAffairsSA explain y you're outsourcing them to phetogo. If they were never employed by phetogo,u're doing this just to create a space for ur corrupt officials to steal state funds with their friends the so called "services provider". The company that didn't even exist before this proje

@HomeAffairsSA Let's correct this, many employees exited the project because Phetogo terminated their contracts, also because of the toxic treatment we've been receiving under Phetogo

@HomeAffairsSA @HomeAffairsSA you seem to be forgetting that the first cohort helped you with the hiring of the second cohort as you were under staffed and not coping with the administration. Local offices were full of graduates from the digitisation project so they could help with the shortage

@HomeAffairsSA We are recognised in the system as public servants under Home Affairs when our IDs are verified, but when it comes to our rights, UIF, and job security, suddenly we are ‘not their employees’. You cannot claim us in the system and deny us in reality. That is unfair

@HomeAffairsSA The department has money, the same money you're giving to Phetogo you should hire more HR staff since you said that Dha HR can't handle large group. And give the graduates permanent. DDG Mavuso said this is a long term project.

@HermanMashaba @HomeAffairsSA While ActionSA wins the fight for insourcing, the Minister of @HomeAffairsSA is forcing the outsourcing of our futures to Tenderpreneurs. We are graduates who served for over 3 years. We are breadwinners, not disposable labor. Don’t use & abandon the youth! Give us the dignity!!

Stop the DA Minister from privatisatizing DHA digitisation to a private company! Workers must be insourced. The ANC is selling out in the GNU

@HomeAffairsSA Naze nakhohlakalaaa, so much lies!!! We were never employed by a service provider, but Home Affairs did. What you did to us is extremely unfair. Worse, we still have families to provide for, pay rent while we're getting paid abo 5k.

The ANC and DA government are detrimental to the lives of our people especially youth. When we warned people that this privatisation is dangerous they didn’t listen. Short sightedness consumed them today we have young people being forced out of government contracts with the potential of permanent employment and benefits unto private contracts with an ultimatum. Worse this service of banks is only catering for changing greenbook to smart nothing else. Vuka Darkie.

@HomeAffairsSA @HomeAffairsSA says this was a youth employment program, not a job. Workers were doing core government work Workers were treated like normal employees Digitising national records is core work of Home Affairs, not temporary community work.

Staff are being coerced into signing contracts on extremely short notice, with the threat of immediate unemployment for those who do not comply. The situation is chaotic; the department has closed the digital hub until after Easter, leaving many with no choice but to return home. It is unacceptable that the Department, which claims to need young professionals to fight systemic corruption, is subjecting them to these very practices. #VoetsekDA #VoetsekZile #VoetsekSchreiber
