Walter Mzembi was BRAVE ENOUGH to come back to Zimbabwe and go through the legal processes. Under President @edmnangagwa, EVERYONE is treated FAIRLY by the courts. Today, the High Court of Zimbabwe set him FREE. He can continue with his life FREELY.

I was on a train in Tokyo. We stopped between stations. Announcement in Japanese, then in English: "We apologize for the delay. We will resume shortly." The delay was maybe 3 minutes. Not a big deal. When the train started moving again, another announcement: "We sincerely apologize for the delay. We were stopped for 3 minutes and 20 seconds. This is unacceptable. Thank you for your patience." Three minutes and twenty seconds. They measured it exactly. And called it unacceptable. When I got off at my stop, there were station staff on the platform bowing and handing out delay certificates. I took one out of curiosity. It was an official document stating that the train had been delayed by 3 minutes and 20 seconds, signed and stamped. The staff member said in English "for your employer. So they know the delay was not your fault." I said I'm a tourist, I don't need it. He looked confused. "But the delay affected you. You deserve an apology." Three minutes. They were treating a three-minute delay like a major incident. Later I mentioned this to a Japanese friend. They said "oh yes, delay certificates are normal. Trains are supposed to be exactly on time. If they are late, they must apologize." I said three minutes isn't late, it's nothing. My friend said "in Japan, three minutes is late. On time means on time. Not approximately on time." They said the train company probably investigated why there was a 3-minute delay. "They will find the cause and fix it so it doesn't happen again." I kept the certificate. It's framed in my apartment now. A reminder that somewhere in the world, people care about three minutes. © 6IX.

Those who argue CAB3 Is about giving @edmnangagwa 2 more years because he is delivering (with no evidence) what will you do if the next President does not deliver - reduce the years from 7 to two? Silly argument- law must never be made for individuals.

We can happily give President @edmnangagwa 2 more years because the gentleman is DELIVERING… Zimbabwe is on path to be one of the MOST INDUSTRIALISED COUNTRIES in Africa. Zimbabwe is now a BIG PRODUCER OF STEEL and steel products!

Surely, the Zimbabwe Republic Police @PoliceZimbabwe, you have proved yourselves to be one of the most useless police services in the world. Senior Zimbabwean lawyer Doug Coltart is violently attacked in front of television cameras. The incident is captured live on camera and broadcast around the world. His phone is stolen in full view of the public. The whole world sees the phone being grabbed from him, sees the suspect, and the suspect is known. Reports and widely circulated videos have identified the alleged suspect as Luckmore Gapa. Yet you fail to arrest him, even in a pretentious way. You do not even pretend to investigate or act. The suspect is freely moving around Zimbabwe as if nothing happened, and yet you expect citizens to take you seriously as a professional law enforcement institution. You have become a complete joke. Even in brutal dictatorships elsewhere, authorities at least pretend to uphold the law when an incident so public and embarrassing takes place. But you are so compromised, so captured by ZANUPF, that you cannot even maintain the basic appearance of professionalism or impartiality. What message are you sending to ordinary Zimbabweans when a violent attack, witnessed live by the entire world, produces no visible action from the police? You are effectively telling citizens that political affiliation determines whether the law applies or not. That is not policing. That is the collapse of public trust and the collapse of the rule of law. Shame on you. You have effectively become a ZANUPF militia service used to arrest, harass, and persecute anyone perceived to be against ZANUPF. That is what you have essentially become. You have ceased to function as a professional national police service that protects all citizens equally under the law. People no longer have confidence in you. I have read countless stories of Zimbabweans who experience serious criminal incidents at their homes and do not even bother to call the police because that is how useless and ineffective you have become in the eyes of the public. Citizens now believe that unless a matter is political or linked to protecting powerful people, you either will not act or you simply do not care. A police service that loses the trust of ordinary citizens has already collapsed morally, even before it collapses institutionally. The tragedy is that Zimbabweans fund your salaries through their taxes, yet many no longer believe you exist to protect them.
Zimbabwe Republic Police@PoliceZimbabwe

The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has not issued any official press statement regarding updates on the alleged assailants of Douglas Coltart. Members of the public are advised to disregard any circulating statements purporting to be from the ZRP, as some individuals are deliberately spreading false and misleading information using fake ZRP press releases. The police are fully aware of these activities and investigations are currently underway to identify the people responsible for creating and distributing the fake statements. The public is urged to rely only on official communication channels for accurate information. The law will take its course against anyone found responsible for publishing or circulating false information, regardless of where those individuals are located.

WATCH | A group calling itself Edutainers4ED has responded to Vice President Chiwenga’s recent Bible message, which has increased political tensions in Zimbabwe. Speaking at a Roman Catholic gathering in Murewa on Saturday, Chiwenga gave a message based on scripture that sounded like a strong warning. Many people believe the message was aimed at President Mnangagwa, even though he did not mention him by name.

Bellarmine is a very lucky young man such that today he gets another chance at life. He should indeed be thankful because ED has been very generous to their family after all that he endured at their hands. The current administration has ignored how they still have multiple farms, some which are leased out, despite the policy position for One Man One Farm and still the boys have failed to utilise that advantage. Personally, he insulted the same President and went to stay in SA but today he is back home again. Any other wise young man would change his behaviour for he has continually exhibited shameful behaviour. The other brother has been involved in drugs and it's staggering considering the legacy which their father left them. Mugabe is an African icon and his legacy deserves better behaviour from these boys. The violence and erratic behaviour should stop. This is as brazen an attack on the President as one can ever give and coming from his own Deputy its shocking. For one so close to the President to resort to this is diplomatically gross and strategically poor. The VP is now seriously endangering his standing by pandering to the whims of social media and the opposition by indulging in content creation. The subject matter which he poorly dresses in Biblical frocks instead of explicitly stating his opposition to CAB3, as any serious politician would do, shows his level of frustration. Politically the man has been outmanoeuvred and if he is sincere that he opposes what ZANU PF has come to represent then he should resign like any self-respecting leader. What he is contesting is a party decision and he can't continue within an entity whose thinking and direction he doesn't accept! Resigning, not metaphors, is the only redemptive path for him. He should resign and then canvass for the support of the opposition, which he is clearly pandering to, against his own party. CAB3 is not the product of any single individual but is a ZANU PF project, a party to which he belongs. He cannot reduce it to any single Hezekiah when he has been part of Cabinet that approved it. He failed to block the resolution from the Conference, Politburo, Central Committee, Cabinet, Public Hearings and we are now reaching the Parliament stage. For the ruling party he has become the main opposition, providing fodder for continued tension and instability through such veiled attacks. The biggest takeaway from all this is that he lacks the necessary political muscle and internal support for anything of significance. Thats a hard truth which the doomsday prophets should quickly recognise and stop putting pressure on him to become some action hero. Party members have accepted the party decisions and moved on. Only social media and the motley crowd of illusionists hanging in shadows amount to the "army" that are beckoning him into what will surely amount to self-immolation. Fuelled by this "virtual army" he has instigated multiple political infractions goading President Mnangagwa who has himself remained dignified and quiet. ED's patience and Long-Game tactics are clearly unsettling him. It's just that the political standards for the opposition, which has embraced him on social media, is very low such that they can't recognise the absurdity of the VP remaining part of the machinery which they deride and yet embrace him as a shining light. For the ruling party he is becoming a liability publicly questioning party resolutions and feeding the public mentality with treasonous thoughts.

The spectacle of Wicknell Chivayo accompanying Presidents Boko and Mnangagwa at ZITF on Thursday was unedifying and sullied respect for these two offices. Both Vice Presidents Chiwenga and Mohadi were present at ZITF and it is inexplicable why they did not accompany both Presidents rather than Mr Chivayo. Mr Chivayo holds no public office, runs no discernible business employing great numbers of people & has not demonstrated any particular ingenuity or innovation. The manner he flaunts his wealth (the source of which remains a mystery to most Zimbabweans) has deeply angered millions of Zimbabweans who are struggling to pay school fees or obtain basic medical care. This is the reason his presence in the company of both Presidents was unfortunate to say the least. We can do so much better #Zimbabwe in marketing ourselves and our Nation.
