We live in a very sick society. This trend is all over social media now. I just do not understand what makes someone want to do something like this.

**Rare Road Cars** 🇬🇧 1979 Austin Allegro 1500 SDL Estate 1 of 34 supposedly left 🤯 Estimate £2,500 - £3,500 if you are brave. Looks like 89,688 miles. Always thought these looked great 🤔 The Austin Allegro 1500 SDL Estate is a 1970s British front-wheel-drive family car featuring a 1485cc E-series engine and 5-speed gearbox (in later models), known for its distinct styling and Hydragas suspension. The SDL (Super DeLuxe) trim offered better interior appointments, while the estate body style provided enhanced practicality, often featuring black vinyl roof panels or trim.  Engine: The 1500 model uses the 1485cc E-series overhead camshaft engine. Transmission: Later models, such as the 1978-79 versions, were equipped with a 5-speed gearbox, designed for economical cruising. Suspension: Used Hydragas interconnected fluid-and-gas suspension, which offered a unique ride but required careful maintenance. Trim/SDL Features: The Super DeLuxe (SDL) trim typically included better interior comfort, such as black velour upholstery. Body Style: The estate version was a 3-door wagon, sometimes fitted with special chrome hubcaps and trim, aimed at providing practical family transport. Reputation: Part of the BL Allegro range (1973-1982), the model is noted for its "all-aggro" reputation for reliability issues and unique styling.  This car is at auction at @ACAKingsLynn 🔗 angliacarauctions.co.uk/auctions/2752-… 📷 @ACAKingsLynn 👏🏻👏🏻 #classiccars #allegro

Not good news today about Olive. A repair job done about 50 years ago has given up. Not safe to drive. Waiting for the estimate but it is likely to cost a LOT more than the car is worth. Don’t think I can bring myself to be the one to scrap her after 69 years of good service.

When she was in government, Angela Rayner gave the go-ahead for the Marks and Spencer Art Deco building on Oxford Street, London to be demolished & turned into a characterless rebuild. Elegant buildings like this should be adapted, not destroyed. We are aesthetically regressing.
