Tonight, the Conservatives have voted against Labour’s fracking ban, against the wishes of their constituents, the British people, and their own manifesto. They have chosen to stand by a failing Prime Minister against the best interests of working people news.sky.com/story/labour-m…

This is the most chaotic and incompetent government I've seen in my lifetime. How much longer will they cling on to power while the country suffers? General Election now.

Britain in the last decade: 💰 Record profits for corporations 💸 Record wealth for the top 10% 🤑 Record number of billionaires And now the govt is handing them more of our money. While life gets harder for everyone else. How long are we going to take it? #EnoughIsEnough

LBC have just reported that the collapse in the pound means people in the UK will have a lower standard of living than their equivalents in Poland and Slovakia. If you voted Brexit and are still voting Tory - cheers for that.

Superb & shocking journalism. Helpfully encapsulated in this thread. And it hasn’t happened by accident. The media & political machinery dedicated to delivering this inequality (NB in countries where Rupert Murdoch concentrates his power) is immense.
John Burn-Murdoch@jburnmurdoch

NEW: income inequality in US & UK is so wide that while the richest are very well off, the poorest have a worse standard of living than the poorest in countries like Slovenia ft.com/content/ef2654… Essentially, US & UK are poor societies with some very rich people. A thread:

@Matthew74705969 @khalifa_zak @piersmorgan Close! The crown estate earns £345 mil and the royal family is entitled to 25%. Thus they receive est. £86 mil and the state get £259 mil. In reality this is insignificant! The question should why do taxpayers pay for it when the crown has a reported net worth of £24 billion!

@khalifa_zak @piersmorgan The monarchy received £86million last year from UK taxpayers. Do you know how much the tax payer received in return? £306 million and that's just the profit from the Crown Estate! I think we have a pretty good deal! It's a shame most of the British public don't understand that
