@jimmymcbride1 Gerrard the nearest (hate to say it) as he could drag his team up a level, the rest miles off.

@MUFC_RA Gets a lot of grief Garnacho but he’s just a daft kid really and immature, a lot his age are, just doesn’t help in such a high profile environment

🚨🎙️ | Alejandro Garnacho on whether it hurt to leave #MUFC: “Yeah, maybe yes, because I LOVED that club, you know? They gave me the confidence from the start, from Spain, to bring me to the academy, then they bring me to the first team. “So it was like four or five years, and AMAZING love from everyone, from the fans, the stadium, everything was really good. “It's just sometimes you have to change for the good of your life or the next steps. I only have GOOD memories of Manchester United.”

@pythaginboots I remember being a teen at secondary school and we were heavily linked with him when it wasn’t working out in Italy, would have loved him.

As a Manchester United fan… always had the utmost of respect for Dennis Bergkamp. Could not hate him ever. Even in the peak years of the rivalry! #arsenal

Yesterday, the #PremierLeague were due to confirm the fixtures for MW37 (17th of May), but has now decided to delay that announcement until after the FA Cup semi-finals. That leaves supporters with less than three weeks’ notice for any changes, with fixtures still likely to be moved to Friday or Monday nights. There are no Saturday games scheduled due to the FA Cup Final. Given only three Premier League clubs are involved in the semi-finals — and at most two in the final — it’s not exactly an unsolvable problem. If necessary, just avoid selecting those remaining three clubs for broadcast and schedule the rest. Instead, it’s another example of decisions being made with little regard for match-going supporters.

It's tough going in these straitened times, but don't sit there dreading a third weekend without a game Order THOSE WERE THE DAYS now - the definitive tale of Utd in the '90s Some discounted £10 copies still remain 👇 pay.tide.co/products/those…

@alex_crook Well the competition isn't up to much either tbh, but then we don't look that great. To think some were saying this was the best group of English players ever is looking a bit mad. Phil Foden as a false 9 when late 90s England had Shearer, Owen, Ferdinand, Sheringham & co.

Italy fail to qualify for another World Cup. They remind me of Pakistan cricket at the moment - run by people who are not in touch with the modern game, domestic standards that have gone downhill, still dreaming of former glory, players nowhere near as good as their former greats

Is De Zerbi my first choice? No Is he most likely to keep us up? No Is he the best option long term? No Is he the guy to represent my club? No Is he suited to our squad? No But am I now strangely really invested and excited about the future? Also no

@SuhailChowdhary There was talk of him going back to Italy - no club there can or will pay what we can in a fee and wages. Don't see him at Liverpool or Arsenal, City a possibility, could happen this.

Tonali was considered last year but was too expensive. Last year Newcastle managed to get Champions League - this year if Manchester United manage to get Champions League, think the table turns, especially with agent push.

@UEF_Podcast @MikeKeegan_DM I totally think this too - he is early to mid 70s, needs a bit of a final fling of fun in his life and lets be honest in the main it hasn't been much fun so far so he will want to improve everything. There is the aspect that Ineos do need to treat it like any other investment.

@MUFCAndy1976 @MikeKeegan_DM Going by what he said when he purchased the club, that he isn’t going this for the profit, it must be the fun and thrill of it all. He doesn’t really have much more to live for. 🤷🏽‍♂️

🚨👀 @MikeKeegan_DM on the stadium plans: "Sir Jim Ratcliffe's many things, but he's not a mug. I would be amazed if they're going through all this, putting Collette [Roche] through all of this, so they can flip it quickly. For Sir Jim, he would see this as his legacy. He says he's a United fan, what better way to leave your mark on the club by leaving a stadium that'd forever be a tribute to what you've done." [@UnitedStandMUFC] #mufc

@prodnose Spot on - it has taken the excitement out of football - there are winners and losers with VAR decisions, some fans happy, some unhappy, but even the happy ones are not jumping around losing their minds in the pure joy, it has taken such a massive edge off the whole passion.

VAR is no good. It's just not. It doesn't need tweaking or resetting - it's just no good for football. Referees make bad errors every now and but so does this billion pound tech overlord bullshit. What have we gained? Nothing. What have we lost? Live football.

Do 75% of fans really oppose VAR? That's the claim by the Football Supporters' Association. But not based on scientific, random sampling polling representative of all fans. It was through a website fans had to chose to click on which could skew to those more strongly with views
