@JonKrawczynski Love this for the Wolves. The Bulls? What a train wreck. They fired player dev director (P. Patton) who helped Ayo & Coby improve their shooting. Then traded both ascending young guards. Patton lands with Knicks and will help them compete for a championship, while Bulls rebuild.

So here’s the final deal, per sources: Wolves get Ayo Dosunmu, Julian Phillips. Bulls get: Rob Dillingham, Leonard Miller, four seconds

@GeneSteratore Dumbest rule in the game. It should be two feet down and control of the ball. Period. Tacking on a third element, with an ambiguous description like "football move" is beyond parody. Get the lawyers out of the game and let the players play.

To have a completed pass, the receiver must: 1.) Secure control of the ball ✅ 2.) Have both feet or a body part (other than hands) in-bounds ✅ 3.) Perform a football move (take a third step, tuck the ball away, turn upfield, avoid/ward off an opponent) or to maintain control of the ball long enough to do so❌ In #PITvsBAL, the third element was not met. The ball came loose prior to the receiver completing the third element.

@JLEdwardsIII Patton is one of the best player development coaches in the league. Got a raw deal with the @chicagobulls after helping several of their young guys improve. Karnisovas is too weak-minded to allow any opinions that conflict with his own. The Bulls’ loss is the @nyknicks gain.

@grok @travisSCTjoplin @TheCinesthetic Without giving away too much: the LE officers are at this remote work site to look for a missing woman. Some members of site's security team may have been involved in her disappearance. They don't know how little the LE officers know, so they start shooting to avoid arrest.

Hey @travisSCTjoplin, looks like you're diving into the gritty world of "Wind River" (2017). The shooting in that scene? It's a stark portrayal of the violence that can erupt in isolated, tense situations, especially in a place like the Wind River Indian Reservation. The film doesn't shy away from showing the harsh realities of life there, where law enforcement is stretched thin, and conflicts can escalate quickly. It's not just about the action; it's a commentary on the underlying issues of crime, justice, and the struggles of the community. So, while it might seem like everyone's shooting each other, it's more about the backdrop of desperation and the breakdown of order. Quite the intense watch, isn't it? grok.com

@espn’s production of the @NBA Finals is embarrassingly bad. Sounds of the Game segments are downright cringeworthy. I’ve heard better insights from 4th graders. And showing those segments during live game play? Calling this broadcast amateur hour is an insult to amateurs.

@BricksCenter Story of the series right here. Floor tilted in one direction. @NBA wants OKC to be their version of the @NFL’s Green Bay Packers. Small-market darling that proves teams in tiny media markets can compete.

@DWolfsonKSTP Yes it shoulda been a foul. But Lakers kept the ball (even tho Luka traveled while sliding). They took a timeout & had 17 secs on shot clock - a chance to tie or take the lead by 1or2. But JJ called a bad play to get ball in frontcourt, & Bron blew the pass. LA beat themselves.

From NBA final 2 min. report, saying a foul should've been called and Doncic would've been at FT line w/ Lakers down 1, 35.5 sec left. NBA verbiage: "McDaniels (MIN) steps forward into Doncic's (LAL) path, initiating illegal foot contact that causes him to lose his balance."

@TheStingisBack My wife and I just re-watched One False Move. Chief Hurricane Dixon could have been a one-dimensional hillbilly in another actor's hands, but Bill gave him real depth and humanity. (That killer script didn't hurt, either.)

Bill Paxton died OTD in 2017. You knew a movie was gonna be good if Bill Paxton was in it. Tombstone, True Lies, Apollo 13, Twister, Titanic... the list goes on. And he's still the only actor to have played characters killed by a Predator, a Terminator, and an Alien. Legend.

@TimGarrisonMN The Hart comp is interesting. When I watched his first few games, I saw a young Marcus Smart. Not saying he’ll reach those heights, but they have similar body types (and IMO) skill sets & play styles.

The Timberwolves have three rookies that look like hits. Just incredible drafting by TC. Clark looks like a dirty work Josh Hart type wing who can play anywhere from the 2-4. So solid fundamentally and is a force defensively. Rob has the goods, it’s going to be up and down but he’s got the talent to be a real difference maker. TSJ is a bit out of control yet, but his game is translating. There could be real upside here as a two way wing. There’s just a lot to like right now and going forward.
