@rehearsalpete @nerdsville They moved transmitter sites. Active from Cumbria now, my msf clocks still working fine business.

@nerdsville In one of those strange coincidences….
I was decorating last month and found this circuit in a cupboard - I built it in the 1980’s from a Maplin design.
(Using the works PCB dept.!)
Thought I would see if it still worked but read that the Rugby signal disappear a few years ago.

Picked up this intriguing vintage MSF clock kit at a recent rally, circa 1980. LEDs covered in red cellophane all CMOS 4000 series chips. Found the original designer who has sent me some details and fault finding instructions. cambridge.atspace.co.uk/2013/kit/kitcl…

@chris31633647 I used a trapped inverted L for 80/40m once, that worked quite well

@chris31633647 They are ok as a last resort or for swl. The efhw 49:1 are a bit better here.

@MM0OPX @RadioHam432 It's a good idea to default to tx aerial if switched off or a PTT problem. I made one a few years ago, it's around here somewhere..
English

@RadioHam432 Yeah, its handy having the TX delay in most radios to prevent hot switching.

Ok you helpful lot 😌, question / advice time… artic shack setup with Ft450d. Currently have a magloop in the stairway, seems ok but know could be better. I’d like to try an ext ant for HF, mainly 20m. Not wanting overly obvious. Could I go top of the window and drop down? #hamr

@KevinOR29696596 It's a shame Kevin, I used to like their stands at local Rallies

@mw0ian Hehe! No, the Telsa has a nicer screen. This is a massively overkill Fieldfox. But it was the closest thing with a charged battery at 11pm! 😁
