Our Vocabulary Parade was so much fun! We enjoyed seeing our Manatees dressing up and expressing their creativity.

As a show of unity and support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our outfits today showcased pink 🎀… Tomorrow we kick off Red Ribbon week to raise awareness against drugs: we will be wearing red ♥️

We received our amazing teachers today! We are Racing to Success in 2024-2025!

Our brave Assistant Principal, Ms. Fox, challenged our scholars to read 20,000 minutes in two weeks for the “May the 4th Be with You Challenge” on @zoobeanreads . On May 6th (closest workday to May 4th),top Readers for every grade level got to face-pie a Yoda version of Ms. Fox.

Library Month ended!We had so many great activities to celebrate our Library Media Center! From Journalist @juliegargotta to authors and a storyteller from the @oclslibrary , voting for our favorite @FloridaSSYRA , and closing the month with an AR Party, April was manateerrific!

Congratulations to our Parent Engagement Liaison, Mayra De Jesus, for her leadership on the Bedtime Books Projects! Our community are proud and appreciative of all the hardwork you do for our manatees!

Zulay Iglesias is definitely a rainbow that brightens the sky on a rainy day. A new teacher mentor @MWManatees, she has met with her mentees over 35 times this year and completed all 10 mentor modules. Wow! @ocpsPL

One person can make all the difference, and Jessica Steelman is definitely that person! A resource teacher and new teacher mentor @MWManatees has met with her mentees over 31 times this school year and completed 6 mentor modules. Amazing! @ocpsPL

Given the choice between being able to learn and grow or being stagnant, Lena Solano, resource teacher @MWManatees will choose to be a lifelong learner everytime. She has completed 7 mentor modules this year alone! @ocpsPL

Imagine exercising your brain in every way possible... that is something Ivonne Gonzalez Rodriguez, lead mentor and media specialist @MWManatees, is a master at. She has taken the time to complete 9 mentor modules to hone her skills. @ocpsPL
