@DanHankeAI I believe the Northwoods moment happened. I *think* James Bamford was the first to write about it. But I don’t think you need a transcript (records) for it to be real evidence. Not everyone lies about things you find objectionable. Whitewashing an image is bad history.
English

@MWN_STPatrick I didn’t say video is the only proof. Please re-read what I said. Second, there were eye and ear witnesses to JFK’s reaction to Northwoods presentation. I’m beginning to wonder what your objective really is.
English

What I feel is important about this article is Lincoln confirms JFK said he want to splinter the CIA into pieces. There has been a concerted effort lately to dismiss he ever said this…it feels like part of an op to distort history by saying JFK never made that quote.
Daily Mail@DailyMail
JFK's personal secretary wrote explosive hidden memo claiming he was murdered in secret US government plot trib.al/QCM59jz
English

@DanHankeAI If people saying things is gossip and the only proof we have is video, then some of our important moments in the JFKA world can be called gossip, like JFK exploding over Northwoods. That moment comes from secondary accounts, what you’d call gossip. Where is the transcript?
English

@DanHankeAI I guess we can mark you down as believing Evelyn Lincoln is a gossiper who lied about her personal friends having affairs with her beloved boss. Makes total sense, as well.
English

@MWN_STPatrick Why would she even mention the splinter the CIA bit? That is not salicious and she kept it in an unreleased doc.The affairs crap was not from this secret memoir. I’m asking for proof and you have nothing but gossip. With Clinton there was physical evidence.
English

@DanHankeAI If your “evidence” is pictures of them entangled, tell me which affairs for presidents you believe. It can’t be Clinton and Lewinsky. It can’t be any of the GHawB affair charges since there is zero evidence and only stories. Can’t be W. Surely can’t be Jefferson. So who?
English

@MWN_STPatrick Where is the evidence? You have film, photos, audio, phone records? At some point we need to tell the National enquirer types to put up or shut up.
English

@DanHankeAI But you don’t think she exaggerated or made up the things you want to believe? You think she “confirmed” those. There are no pictures of FDR holding hands with Lucy Mercer or Clinton holding hands with Lewinsky. Phone records? You have WH visits, which I’m sure you excuse.
English

@MWN_STPatrick What I believe is evidence. There are no pictures of JFK so much as holding hands with someone not named Jackie. There’s nothing but people trading salacious stories….how about phone records?Lincoln was under a lot of pressure btw. Did she exaggerate or make some of it up?
English

@DanHankeAI And I don’t even think affairs made him a bad person. It appears very normal for a politician of the era. So it’s not even a moral judgment. I think this is an exercise is historical apologetics, like there is no amount of evidence when you don’t want to believe something.
English

@MWN_STPatrick I personally don’t believe the affairs happened. Or, if they did it’s way over blown. Why would his enemies not use them to scuttle his career vs having to kill him?
English

@DanHankeAI Other politicians can’t scuttle anyone or anything when they’re almost all guilty of the same thing. You believe Lincoln when she confirms what you want to believe but not the things you don’t want to believe? Is this how we are working this?
English

There is now a set of JFK apologists who claim JFK had none of the affairs we think we know. Thanks to @jeffersonmorley and JFK Facts, we have part of Evelyn Lincoln’s writing. She seems to confirm she knew women with whom he’d had affairs. We can do good JFK work w/o apologetics

English

@books_rum When I taught, I always disliked that first meeting where I had to stand up and introduce myself to everyone. They never thought some people would be uncomfortable with this - and being new, how do you say no? Why can’t people just meet and learn about one another organically?
English

@brawndosaurus Man, from your mouth to God’s ears. I wish that were the case, too, but since our entire school system is set up to make you believe you need approval from on high to be valuable, I can’t see it happening. Real freedom and real happiness is being able to go it alone.
English

@MWN_STPatrick I wish there was a person at career fairs for high schoolers who was self-employed in some niche job (as I am), who could tell young people they don't have to do the whole corporate/office thing and put up with HR to make a living.
Some people seem to like that stuff, I do not.
English

Whatever boundaries we put on player should also be put on coaches. We are deriding these young adults from assessing their employment on an annual basis - which we should ALL be doing. That’s the corporate-labor relationship. Don’t ruin your own leverage. Fans are illogical.

Hey NCAA, us more about players that don’t show “loyalty,” don’t want to go through “adversity” and how player movement impacts stability. Tell us more about “tampering” and “poaching.” The Coaches Portal is ALWAYS open. Funny how silent coaches and administrators are about that.
