Most unsettling movie billboard I saw this year was in January, an MTA station had posters for a movie called “Greenland 2: Migration”

Would a big ol' pussy hat make you all feel better? That is the appropriate attire for this No Kings foppery.

I feel bad for Bill Nye as he's desperately struggling at the No Kings rally to try to tie everything back to 1776 and King George... it's just like, your strained metaphor sucks. You just hate Trump and there's nothing you can do about it, is there?

Everything about No Kings reminds me of cope-- coping with a lame-ass name for your movement in the same way an actor contractually obligated to play Jar Jar Binks has to find a way to spin things: "Here in Jar Jar Nation, we know Star Wars, and we're all psyched for this film!"

@jeffreytucker As far as I can tell half the population still thinks he's a Mr. Rogers-type figure who helps keeps us all safe and healthy with his marvelous gene therapies.

The crashing and burning of Bill Gates is one of the more spectacular turns of our age. It's hard to believe. This guy was not only the global warming guru but probably the top Covid lockdown and vaccine pundit who made bank on the whole operation. Now he is a poster child of overclass arrogance, pretense, decadence, and corruption. Amazing.

Another mindboggling concept: what if someone didn't hate either Trump or Obama, per say, but wasn't a fan of either of them, either? What if indifference or annoyance was the primary emotion they conjured up?

Here's a crazy thought: what if essentially nobody actually hates America? What if people vote for one of two political parties because those are, practically speaking, the only choices available?

Good music, like good art, can create a confusing new feeling that is impossible to sum up any other way than by listening to it. youtube.com/watch?v=3s3ni4…

An ex-friend of mine was worried she had serious brain damage due to an accident that roughly coincided with her getting vaccinated. Before she stopped talking to me I noticed slurred speech, an inexplicable anger, and a number of other indicators of possible brain damage.🧐

Back when I was a kid in the '80s these Pink Panther cartoons were on at like 6-6:30 in the morning when during the winter it would still be dark out. I found them disturbing and oddly scary. There's something very airless and Twin Peaks Black Lodgey about them.
Time Capsule Tales@timecaptales

By 1968, the psychedelic movement had seeped into every corner of pop culture - music, film, art, and even cartoons. One of the strangest and most delightful examples was “Psychedelic Pink”, the 39th episode of the Pink Panther series.

I worry that people's capacity to formulate or digest nonpartisan thoughts is in steep decline. Peoples' hackles are up the second they spy any information that does not fall into their binary ideological camp.

@PYeerk @Sarah_pdx I'd argue transing kids is going to be like sterilizations of the "unfit" under eugenics-- not approved of by anyone in hindsight, but also hardly ever discussed precisely because it is so universally disapproved of.

@Glinner And, it should be pointed out, she grew up expecting to be treated by others (especially authority figures) with the relative delicacy that women generally are. Men learn at a young age that physically-threatening behavior carries serious physical risks. She never learned that.

This person, for whom I have great sympathy, has taken synthetic testosterone to give herself the cosmetic appearance of a man but because she's a woman she does not know how to regulate her emotions while on it.
Billboard Chris 🌎@BillboardChris

Trans-identified female lawyer berates judge, pulls trans card, gets found in contempt, resists arrest, screams “I can’t breathe,” and yells for people to call 911 as she’s fighting police. Absolutely glorious performance. Women should not take testosterone.

One thing men learn going through natural puberty is that the testosterone raging through their bodies needs to be regulated. One's childhood is a series of checks and balances where your urge to, for example, kill your schoolmates, is kept somewhat under control.
Sarah Fields@SarahisCensored

The woman pretending to be a man who was arrested for contempt of court is claiming she was discriminated against. No hunny, you just found out what it’s like to be in a space where you can’t bully anyone

@MWN_STPatrick I totally agree. Or in my case, go it alone-- with your spouse. Which has its own challenges but is just better overall.

@brawndosaurus Man, from your mouth to God’s ears. I wish that were the case, too, but since our entire school system is set up to make you believe you need approval from on high to be valuable, I can’t see it happening. Real freedom and real happiness is being able to go it alone.

Imagine being an HR woman in a Reel, saying “I’m not going to hire you if you talk about what went wrong before and you don’t blame yourself.” What if you were in a toxic environment, top down and it WAS the boss. She also “won’t hire you if” you speak negatively about your boss.
