CLG Watty Graham wishes to highlight its concerns regarding the potential long-term impact of the proposed extension to the intercounty season. In the spirit of constructive engagement, we have shared the following letter with all county boards and respectfully requested that it be passed on to their clubs for consideration.

@ConorDeery2 My point is based on the fact he stood in nets for years without coming out the field, but found it enjoyable enough to continue playing….. just because we had some success with a keeper coming out occasionally doesn’t mean it’s best for the game!

@MWarnock_93 Keepers aren’t just for standing in a net anymore, my point is that someone who has played in a successful team with a keeper who doesn’t stand in their net should be first to recognize this.

Stood in nets for years before coming out the field was a thing…… 🙄
