I pretty much read all of Gaiman, Moore, Ellis and Morrisson in torrents. I read all of Hellblazer and Miller+Varley on through torrents too. I didn't have access / I was poor yada yada. I own all of those comics today. Multiple copies. Artists editions.

I have a LOT of thoughts about this Marvel Midnight reveal and 99% of them are skepticism. Why not use the actual Midnight characters? Blade, Ghost Rider, Doctor Voodoo. Elevate them to A-list in their own universe. They've done these horror twists before. It feels redundant.

Midnight probably won't last long. Clearly, Marvel does not want to overextend its initiatives into long-running continuities. The company just wants to give creative freedom for a limited time. Unfortunately, none of the pitches sound as unorthodox or appealing as I had hoped.
