Naturally, we've been waiting with bated breath to find out what Billy Bragg thinks of the EHRC code, and here it is. TL;DR he's trying to equate single sex spaces - which benefit lesbians and gay men - with Section 28, which prohibited the promotion of homosexuality.

To the gay men quietly afraid to say what they actually think: You do not have to conform to every ideological trend just to appear compassionate or enlightened. You’re allowed to value masculinity. You’re allowed to want male-only spaces. You’re allowed to say “this doesn’t align with me.” Having boundaries, preferences, and standards is not hate. Not everyone belongs everywhere, and that’s okay.
