Getting Ready for Spring Season. Got on the mound for the 1st time in 9 weeks, after spending the off season working on my strength, stretching and diet. Felt very loose. I was expecting to get up to 92/93 MPH and then ramp up over next weeks to come. But I got up to 96 MPH, while only throwing a few fastballs. U of A vs Central AZ footage from yesterday. I pitched 2 innings, topping out at 96MPH. Pounded the zone, threw a lot of splitters. Had my spin rate under 800, lots of last second breaking action. Trackman data at end to verify. We won first game 9 to 5. Hit PR last night of 96MPH on Trackman bullpen, with Coach Zinger. Also worked on 3 off speeds. Slider, Splitter, and Changeup. Worked with Coach Zinger in the lab last week. Worked on getting more movement on FB. Was able to get up to 22.5 inches vert. Then worked getting low spin rate on Splitter.
