🇮🇳 An Indian Air Force An-32 transport plane crashed and caught fire while landing at Jorhat Air Force Station in Assam yesterday.
5 IAF personnel were reportedly killed, while the co-pilot survived with serious injuries.
The Soviet-designed An-32 has a rough track record with the IAF.
A 2019 flight out of this same base went down in the mountains and killed all 13 on board, and the questions about this aging fleet have not gone away.

🚨 🇮🇷 Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf says the recent strike on Beirut has cast serious doubt over ongoing negotiations.
According to Ghalibaf, Israel’s operation in Beirut’s Dahiyeh district demonstrates that the United States either lacks the willingness or the ability to uphold its commitments.
“The policy of giving the regime a green light while seeking concessions no longer works,” he said. “The old ‘good cop, bad cop’ approach has lost its effectiveness. If there is neither the will nor the capacity to honor commitments, it is impossible to continue on this path.”
While the strike was carried out by Israel, Ghalibaf directed his criticism primarily at Washington, arguing that the attack undermines confidence in the diplomatic process the U.S. was expected to help advance.
