I find it hard to believe someone's word after they've taken financial advantage of people when they are emotionally vulnerable. Action speaks louder than words, & this individual didn't change at all, even after going to jail for their crime. What a shame. #IYKYK #RealTalk

Dear friends, I write from the homestead with two small pioneers underfoot and winter pressing hard against our doors. By God’s grace and a bit of ingenuity, the children were well occupied today; delighted by new fridge magnets (fine tools of study, truly), a stack of good books, and many hours of imaginative play. I was especially blessed to have a trusted neighbor mind the little ones for a few precious hours, allowing me to tend to my labors without interruption, as their schooling is still impacted by Mother Nature. Before I set to work, the children solemnly pressed a small toy dinosaur into my hand, insisting it accompany me for protection on my journey through the day – a talisman fit for any frontier woman. Their father braved the roads and made it safely to Indianapolis for the legislative session, though the path was rough and only passable in places. The winter has not made travel easy, but we are grateful he arrived in one piece. The children remain in good spirits, the house still standing, and our resolve intact.
