Out of roughly 700,000 U.S. citizens living in Israel, about 500,000 are eligible to vote. Historically, American-Israelis voted Democrat - but in 2024, approximately 90% supported Trump and Vance. The "Democrats Abroad" organization in Israel essentially imploded after October 7th, as many board members felt abandoned by the national party's shifting stance on Israel. Trump's Gaza Plan: Phase One succeeded in enabling the return of 20 living hostages and 27 remains. However, I'm skeptical about the International Security Force - many countries refused to join because they realize disarming Hamas will be bloody and costly. Ultimately, only the IDF will be capable of fully disarming Hamas and ensuring security in Gaza. I strongly oppose allowing Qatar or Turkey to participate in the "Board of Peace" or Gaza's rehabilitation - their influence is toxic and anti-Israel. America First & Israel's Security: While a U.S. President must prioritize American interests, a strong Israel is a vital strategic asset for the U.S. in the Middle East. I support Israel becoming more independent regarding military supplies to prevent future U.S. administrations from using arms shipments as leverage. Hasbara & The Future: The Israeli government should stop focusing diplomacy only on Jewish communities in big cities and start reaching out to populations in "Red" Republican states.
