@RoninEF Pretty much! The only difference is that a trim sheet is unrestricted on the X axis, so it repeats along its width where a hotspot is a box Still, hotspots are useful and I will be adding support for it as well

@VoicelessName @Sinnoware That scaling is mostly just for making sure it stays at the same size regardless of monitor resolution, this was about adding scaling options to scale elements of the ui up to make the UI readable on smaller screens

Since I got my STEAM DECK which i bought for GAME DEVELOPMENT AND RESEARCH PURPOSES I've been surprised how many games have UI that are just unreadable on a small screen I have added UI scaling options to my game in response to this Thank you BUSINESS EXPENSE STEAM DECK

@Sinnoware Agreed! The only thing i can say to anyone starting a new project is design for it from the outset This is coming from someone who had to set his ui up for translation well after the fact and had to slog through all his ui elements to fix it Way easier to do it from the jump

@dtv20 Dam that sucks, thank you for sharing! I know a fair few newer AAA games have options to increase the readability of subtitles, especially those from ubisoft, the newer god of war games, and the hitman trilogy, but yeah not the majority unfortunately

@Mab_Devv Fucking amazing. Few years ago I had knee surgery and was laid up in bed for awhile. Played a lot of games on a TV slightly too far, and out of all the games I played (which was a lot), Outer Worlds was the only game to have this option, and I've yet to see another do it.

@Mab_Devv I don't have a Steam Deck, but I have spent a crazy amount of time over the years fighting to get interfaces to work as broadly as possible (including back in the old browser "combatibility" days). Thank YOU for caring enough about this to get UI scaling to look right.

@jadejawz7 I learnt by by hitting a problem then scouring stack overflow for solutions and then trying to figure it out by piecing forum posts together. AI is more convenient, but it robs you of understanding how to solve the solution yourself My code is ass, but i'll know why it stinks

@jadejawz7 Fr tho a complicated program is just a conglomerate of simple tasks, you just gotta focus on one thing at a time. I haven't used any libraries outside of what was already in unity by default its just 33000 lines of bad code written by yours truly lol
