Interesting how tonight’s SCGOP Senate candidates talked a lot about farmers, yet none mentioned that this administration is withholding hundreds of millions of dollars owed to American farmers for Hurricane Helene relief. They love farmers right up until it is time to pay them.

The evidence is clear, vandals have repeatedly caused damage to the Reflecting Pool. Some of these acts were even caught on camera. We also provided the U.S. Attorney's office expert and eyewitness testimony to the damage done by vandals and provided every piece of evidence they asked for in the requested time line detailing each area of damage at the pool. The Reflecting Pool is part of the Lincoln Memorial and dates back to 1922. @POTUS cares deeply about protecting our sacred national monuments and his leadership has led the restoration of our Nation's Capital by Making D.C. Safe and Beautiful Again. Intentional damage done to the Reflecting Pool is no different than defacing any one of our other national monuments. We won't back down to deranged people who want to destroy, deface, or degrade our monuments.

(C) is the anti-fusion rule, same structure: one party per single office. Neither says a candidate can't seek two different offices.

If Russell Fry withdraws from his race in CD 7 to run for US Senate, the SC Republican Party will not be able to replace him on the ballot and the Democrat will most likely win the seat. (Section 7-11-55 and 7-11-50 of the South Carolina Code) Laws still matter.

I’d much rather see Congress focus on undoing the damage of Buckley v. Valeo (the 1976 ruling that money equals speech and the foundation for Citizens United) than waste time on this. Fifty years of unlimited money in politics is the problem actually worth solving.

If your movement is so strong, why does it keep needing the Democratic Party’s ballot line, infrastructure, volunteers, donors, and voter file to win? Apparently your apparatus isn’t strong enough to do it on its own. Fight to make the Democratic Party better. Push it. Challenge it. But don’t use the Democratic Party as an Uber to get to office and then complain about the ride after you arrive. If you’re on the team, be on the team.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. This was a long, hard-fought race, and I am deeply grateful to everyone who was part of this campaign. To everyone who donated, knocked doors in the Lowcountry summer heat, wrote postcards, made calls, sent texts, hosted events, put up signs, talked to your neighbors, or simply believed in what we were building — thank you. This campaign was never about me. It was always about the people of South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District. The work does not end here. Now is the time to unite behind the Democratic ticket, flip SC-01 blue, and support Democrats up and down the ballot in November. Stay in the arena. Stay in the fight. I will be right there with you.
