Lt Gen Waweru Karangi, then VCDF, supervised the rigging of the 2007 elections.
— NTV
Remember in the aftermath, 1500 people were dead. 480 of them were shot dead by police while protesting this election results.
They painfully snatched victory from the hands of a crying Raila. He died without becoming president. They then decalred him a madman.
They never even wished that he wins the AUC seat. They wote letters and celebrated in the streets that he had failed.

English

@abuga_makori President Kibaki did not rig the 2007 election. He was just defending his victory, which some people wanted to take by force.

Nairobians are drowning in garbage, sewage, floods, insecurity, and corruption, all thanks to a hopeless, visionless leadership.
We have a storm water drainage crisis because both county and national governments have allowed illegal building in riparian areas, inadequate or blocked storm water drains, dumping of solid waste in drainage systems, and increased paved surfaces that prevent the ground from absorbing the rainwater.
In addition to that, there is also illegal grabbing of forests and green spaces in Nairobi for property development, further reducing available land for absorption of water.
The clueless county government is backed by a National Disaster Operations Centre (NDOC) that was established in January 1998 following El Niño rains, and later morphed into the National Disaster Management Unit (NDMU), established by presidential directive in August 2013.
These bodies have failed to serve Kenyans and when disaster strikes, we have to rely on the Red Cross to respond to accidents, natural disasters, drownings, and collapsed buildings. Kenya Red Cross are doing a better job than the leaders we elected and pay salaries.
It’s important to note that in spite of budget allocations over the years, our government is always caught flat-footed. Disaster management is not only about response but preventing it from happening.
It’s ensuring that when you demolish homes built on riparian land, it’s not just in the low-income areas of Mukuru, Kibera, and Mathare but also in Kilimani, South C, and Langata.
It’s unclogging waterways before the rains begin to fall, ensuring roads are well-maintained and clearly marked, and safe and standardized speed bumps are strategically placed to prevent avoidable accidents.
It’s protecting green spaces instead of pocketing bribes to allow skyscrapers in areas where roads, sewerage, and waterways are inadequate.
It’s arresting the so-called garbage cartels who get paid to collect garbage and then proceed to dump it by the roadside or in the Nairobi River.
It’s also holding the leadership accountable for the loss of lives and property caused by their failure to deliver. Someone woke up yesterday full of life, and now they've been carried away by the floods, and their body will never be found. A car that was bought on loan now requires a new engine, and a business is bankrupt because it was flooded.
Bad leadership costs lives! Educate your friends and family that bad leadership kills, and they should get that voter’s card to ensure that in 2027, the mistake of electing clowns is corrected! Your MCA vote is as important as your presidential vote. If you’re a Nairobian, let the last 3 years be a lesson that vibes don’t deserve votes, only a clear vision and ability to deliver does.

Kenyans let’s not forget he is also human, let’s be honest with each other, floods have happened as far as i remember since Kibaki’s government, yes we need proper Drainage but lets not handle such situation with Emotions, it’s not the time to point fingers. Proper drainage starts with you ,Clogged drains turn rain into a killer,we must stop littering to save lives.

@AlinurMohamed_ Sakaja is just incompetent. An unlearned bafoon with smirky dimples nkt.
English

@NjeriBt governor Sakaja has an annual budget of Kshs 40 Billion, No new drainages, No garbage collection, No bus stage, No footpaths, No clearing of mtaro blockages. Ruto also has a Ministry of Water & Sanitation and Transport & infrastructure with kshs 400 Billion

@MacLyfe047 @juda_kiprono @Maryian96 Tukuwe city planning nimekusho
If watu wako ready for change then some buildings have to come down to pave for the tunnel amd even tram way if possible
Buh will people allow actually the so called traders who appear kujieka kulead nai😂
English

@EliabCheruiyot4 @juda_kiprono @Maryian96 Isn't he doing them nonetheless. He should extend that to drainage and city planning.
English

@MacLyfe047 @juda_kiprono @Maryian96 Well....
What about affordable housing si ni hio kitu watu hawataki
Yet ingekuwa easy we transition those kenyans to those houses then the riparian to be reclaimed and cleaned
Buh yk what happened kila mtu anapinga hio affordable house
English

@EliabCheruiyot4 @juda_kiprono @Maryian96 Indonesia was hit by tsunami in 2004; a natural calamity. They did NOT complain, They worked!
4 years into his leadership , People are still telling us that he CANNOT deal with nature and an inherited problem. That we, Nairobians, are blocking the drainage systems.
English

@MacLyfe047 @juda_kiprono @Maryian96 This is funny 😂 ata siwezi argue na wewe tena.... I see what you trying
Anyways shauri yenu...
English

@EliabCheruiyot4 @juda_kiprono @Maryian96 The initiative was wildy supported by those who reason well. so my brother Ruto has done well to reclaim road reserves, but he should develop a proper framework for urban planning and drainage systems
English

@MacLyfe047 @juda_kiprono @Maryian96 Oooh then wakianza kutolewa atii oooh wanaonea watu wetu Which I'm sure Ruto hawezi fanya juu ata sacrifice political career yake juu obv same people crying now it doesn't work will be the ones saying anaonea watu wetu??
