My passion is to become a more productive disciple in Christ. Let Christ return to find me: 1) Reaching those Lost in Sin 2) Teaching those Born Again

When making disciples, you must give practical steps to biblical principles befitting the disciple's need. Saying "Have faith" isn't helpful to someone who doesn't know what it means to have faith. You must give them actionable steps to practice their faith.

@EllieTannerJack @Taylor_A_Eaton So you never test your interpretation against the larger body of Christ? You never ask a solid brother or sister in the Lord for their understanding of a passage? Do you go to church and listen to the preaching of the word? The Word of God teaches these things.

@MaceWilder @Taylor_A_Eaton Sounds like you need to take time and read the Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to guide you. I would rather have the Holy Spirit guide me than fallen men. You might want to invest in Revelation on what God says about adding to the Bible.

I grew up dispensational, but now embrace covenant theology. Out of curiosity, any on here grow up with covenantal theology and go dispensational?

@Reece_hardin @AlexLAlb @AtheistTakes 1 Cor 7 literally says the opposite. The unbelieving spouse can leave you, you can't make them stay, but you are to stay married so far as depends on you. What verse are you thinking about?

@EllieTannerJack @Taylor_A_Eaton This is a cop out. Saying you interpret the bible by reading it for yourself does nothing to define what you actually believe. It doesn't further the conversation at all either. Also no one reads scripture in a true vacuum. Reading it without input does not guarantee accuracy.

@Taylor_A_Eaton Don’t know what either means. I grew up just reading the Bible and almost no Christian books. Very freeing. Bible reading without the extras is something people who experienced real persecution understand. Bible was illegal in my former country…USSR.

@EzraBrainard @Taylor_A_Eaton Respectfully, this is a cope. You cope by assuming that your opponents on a certain topic must be less educated or versed in your beliefs with no evidence to it other than that they don't hold your beliefs.

@777TheCross777 @YourCalvinist @Protestia Is this how you maintain disdain for reformed Christianity? You take people teaching unreformed things with nasty character and you label them reformed to justify yourself? You have managed to somehow combine straw man and ad hominem fallacies. You deserve an X trophy.

@YourCalvinist @Protestia I’ll bet he’s actually a Calvinist 😂 all the Calvinist I’ve ever met are pompous and arrogant, and look down on everybody else. This guy seems to fit that profile.

@PatAbendroth Your church probably does talk about the Ascension more than you realize. Talks about the current ministry of Christ, the Kingship of Christ, and the second coming all relate to the ascension. Does you church scarcely talk about these things?

Why do we hear so little about the ascension of Jesus from Christians?

@PatAbendroth Because you're either in the wrong circles, or you're at church on Easter Sunday which is about the Resurrection and not in church on Ascension day, or you're not listening to the whole sermon.

Your annual reminder that, no, Jesus was not in Hell between Friday and Sunday—despite what the Apostle’s Creed says. This is a great example of the danger of over emphasizing creeds and confessionals. It results in a theology that is shaped by tradition instead of Scripture.

@LJersey77 @TomorrowsWar Bro, I'm saying that I am someone who holds your views and telling you that you suck at expressing them. Mostly because you aren't actually stating the Word of God but making crappy argumentation off of your interpretation of them.

@MrCasey62 He is Nestorian without realizing it. This is why prots mustn't be ignorant of church history, the councils, and the creeds. They exist for a reason. To deny them unilaterally without investigation is not protest but willful ignorance.

No, he doesn’t care what the BIBLE says. Jesus, God the Son, is biblical. Jesus having a mother is biblical. Therefore, God the Son having a mother is biblical. Which means Mary, the Mother of God, is biblical. His post isn’t remotely pro-Bible, just anti-Catholic. And childish.

@jonbernardk Imagine how many more kids would go to church on Sunday if a preacher read that passage out loud and asked: “Now why would he have written that?” and thrown out perfectly human reasons as well as nobler possibilities. 😂

@5Solas2 No. It's redefining what religion is. Many confuse the word "Religion" with man made traditions. Also, God does have expectations for the way we live our lives but the true Christian religion is ultimately about our relationship with God.

@LJersey77 @TomorrowsWar I would agree that you aren't arguing as Webster defines "Arguing" as "giving reasons for or against something." Your "argument/claim" is made nonsensically.

@MaceWilder @TomorrowsWar I'm not arguing, I'm simply stating that nowhere in God's word does it tell us that Jesus' body and blood are in a piece of wafer or wine.
