Why aren't we talking about Nic Dowd more? I mean this is fuckin insane dude. This kid came out of the swamps of Alabama and was like well fuck it I mean I'm dominating youth hockey here, let's see what the NAHL is about I guess? I mean there's 60 teams in the league and there's gotta be some close to Alabama, so why not right? Guy goes to the NAHL and it's still to easy. 49 points in 40 something games. Then, the USHL calls. Imagine all those days you're fighting alligators in your garage just to get your hockey bag and then you gotta river boat raft to practice and then the next thing you know you're in the USHL putting up basically a point a game. Dirty. What's next for this kid? That's easy dude. Division 1 hockey, still covered in swamp water and bug bites he shows up to St. Cloud state and just balls out for a solid 4 fucking years. Imagine thinking that this dude wasn't gonna suit up for every single game for 4 years? I mean he literally came out of Alabama getting recruited by only the Ku klux klan and that's it and he said nah im actually not down to be racist Im gonna go play some hockey because I'm good at it. So now this dude gets done being an ultra-vet in some of the best college hockey the country has to offer and then oh yeah the fucking LA kings out of all people select this guy in the last round of the draft. I bet the kings were like, you know what, this dude literally had to wade through hippos and snakes in the middle of Alabama just to get to his workouts so maybe he's a tough guy and maybe we could use him. What did Nic do? He did what he always does. He grinded it out in the minors in fuckin New Hampshire which is basically the same vibe as Alabama minus the crocodiles, instead of the crocs it's just heroin addicts outside gas stations that bother you. Anyways, he ends up getting in a game in the show and then the rest is history. Dude sticks in the NHL for the almost a decade and is still currently slugging it out as a productive guy in our nationals capital, home of a ton of prestigious white people that exploit foreign countries through war for money and then turn around and flip that money by dumping stocks because they already know which way the market is gonna go...pretty baller if you ask me lol. Shout out Nancy Pelosi and Gary batman for directly profiting off the Iraq war. Not sure how that took a turn there but anyways shout out to Nic Dowd for making a hell of a career for himself.
