it does seem as if a foreign adversary has taken over the US & in plain view is dismantling its programs, institutions, missions & ideals. the most acute observers among younger generations must be looking upon this with dismay, despair, outrage--their US will be tragically diminished compared to the US most of us grew up in. it's hard to believe that much of US science research is being terminated -- the country used to be so proud of its great scientists. not to mention medical research.

And after it was bombed, it was bulldozed, until the city became a barren desert filled with piles of rubble. Here, the “most moral” army committed a genocide, leaving not a single house undestroyed, not even an olive tree remains.

The ethnic cleansing of the West Bank has reached a new stage. Area C, has been almost completely emptied of Palestinians and the ethnic cleansing of Area B is well under way. Now the cleansing of Area A, which is supposed to be under the PA, has begun: 1) Settlers established five new outposts overnight, with at least three located in Area A, where Israeli entry is illegal. A new outpost in the 'Ayun area, and others in the Wadi Tayasir and near Jenin and Nablus complete the picture. 2) Clashes broke out during a dispute at one of the newly established illegal outposts near the Palestinian village of Harmala. An Israeli civilian murdered Mohammad Faraj Al-Malhi, a 27-year-old resident of East Jerusalem. 3) Meanwhile, the settlers launched a large coordinated attack on the village of Deir al-Hatab, located east of Nablus. Settlers set fire to multiple homes and vehicles, often using Molotov cocktails. At least nine Palestinians were injured during the raid, including a 45-year-old man shot in the foot and a woman suffering from smoke inhalation. 4) Families from Yarza were forced to flee for the second time in March 2026. After the families fled, settlers reportedly set fire to the abandoned structures to prevent any potential return. As you can see in the map, Area A is a tiny area. Many people wouldn't have liked it when I called Iran a rational actor. But consider their actions so far. -Did not close Strait of Hormuz until there was an existential threat to their country -Did not attack critical energy infrastructure until theirs was targeted -They have once again threatened that they will destroy the regional energy infrastructure if theirs is attacked, prompting Trump to announce no more of Iran's will be targeted -They have demonstrated the capability to destroy the entire energy infrastructure of the Gulf and yet, they are holding themselves back. Compare this with Israel and USA's actions so far: -Decapitation strike against Iran while negotiations were progressing well (Oman confirmed this) and a ceasefire was in place. -Targeted Iran's energy infrastructure knowing fully well that there will be retaliation. -Initiated a war they have no means of winning without plunging the entire world into an apocalypse. Which side is the rational actor here?
