@Macropulse98 Risk management. I'm only using a 1:5RR. 1 win makes up for 5 losses. This is all without adding up the fees and stuff from the firm you use but keeping it simple for the timeline.

Got chopped up during Asia session last night. 7 trades. 1 win and 6 losses all using a 1:5RR. Ended with -1R. After 6 losses in a row, I realized we were in a chop fest. I should've realized it sooner and ended the night. We learn every session and move on.

I don't think so man, my strategy is purely mechanical and requires no human judgement, and during backtesting I executed them the same way no matter the market conditions. This might just be a bad month. Plus, I'm sure the 2 losses on Friday and the loss yesterday because of Trumps tweet doesn't help lol

@Macropulse98 It’s chop city right now on NQ. Maybe that’s why your trades perform worse?

📈Trade recap: MES = -$277.32 ❌ MNQ = -$213.44 ❌ Well, another L day for me. June and July have been rough. I've been executing exactly the same way as my back testing data shows, and so far it hasn't been going so well for whatever reason. I'm still gonna keep going regardless as I want and also need to just trust my data. This hasn't been easy psychologically though to be honest. On to the next. #DayTrading

@traderkrysi Yea I see what you're saying, but from my backtests I take the setup no matter what else is happening. The results are really good from the backtests so I just have to execute them the exact same way. Appreciate the feedback though!

Day 201 No trades today. Nothing worthwhile trading for my strategy before 11:00 AM. Felt a bit of FOMO after that super fast 120-point rip on $NQ at 10:34 AM, but observed it and let it pass instead of giving in. Ran a quick 1-micro test trade on FundedNext last night to see what Tradovate felt like in a live trade. Back at it tomorrow. Ready and locked in. 🫡

I'm finally going back to the gym today. It's been a few years.. I truly believe that if you want to stay disciplined in trading, you need to be disciplined in life too. Wish me luck.. Hopefully I don't break any bones. I'm not 18 anymore 😁 (🥲)

@unbearablechart It really is, especially since my strategy is 100% mechanical and requires no human judgement. And not yet, I still have to keep pushing through for some time before I conclude anything.
